Frames and photos from the author’s film “Violet Dream”, a visual study of threshold states: between waking and hallucination, intimacy and exposure, dusk-coolness and dense crimson saturation. The images construct meaning through contrast and through the materiality of light, which functions here like a memory filter: softening contours, condensing emotion, and shifting emphasis from “events” to “sensations.” Fever-dream video essay.

Photobook of selected frames and still photographs from the author’s film “Violet Dream”, a visual study of threshold states: between waking and hallucination, intimacy and exposure, dusk-coolness and dense crimson saturation. Sequenced as a tactile, cinematic flow, the images build meaning through contrast and the materiality of light, which acts like a memory filter: softening contours, condensing emotion, and shifting emphasis from “events” to “sensations.” Fever-dream video essay, in book form.
