COVER REVEAL ‘Orange’ is now available to preorder in the US and Canada! Publishing with @arsenalpulp in March 2027. 🍊 🍊 🍊 by @curtis_garner
Go forth, little ‘Orange’. May you find good homes. Feeling very lucky and grateful - I’m surrounded by the kindest, most supportive friends and family in the world. Thank you to everyone for celebrating with me on Thursday. 🍊 🍊 🍊 (P.S. Go and see Wuthering Heights - I can’t remember a film I’ve enjoyed more in years. It’s ridiculous, beautiful, funny, everything I wanted it to be. Fuck the purists, which is usually a boring guise for stupidity anyway.) by @curtis_garner
Finished copies arrived this morning! ‘Orange’ is bound and ready. 😉 Swipe for launch events and - in true Cornish spirit - my mother eating a giant pasty in Fowey. I’ll also be in conversation with the brilliant @andrewpoetry at Queer Lit in Manchester on Tuesday 3rd March. You don’t need a ticket for Thursday 12th Feb, just show up. Thank you to everyone who made this book possible, especially my fastidious editor, @jennaxgordon. If you’d like to preorder, please support an indie bookshop if you can! Publishing Thursday 19th February. 🍊 🍊 🍊 [Finally, St Enodoc Church at Christmas. It’s over 900 years old and spent 300 of those entirely submerged by sand dunes, so people had to enter through the roof - very Cornwall.] by @curtis_garner

Swipe for hilarious stages of manic articulation. I have the dreaded plague but there is no remedy on a cloudy afternoon in Brighton like the remarkable, sweet and rib-achingly funny Patrick Gale (@trevilley). One of my favourite writers and a true pleasure to be around. Here’s to next time, my lovely fellow Cornishman! I’m pitching the Gale & Garner show to all the TV companies. Thank you to @coastisqueerfest for always being such gracious hosts. by @curtis_garner
Writing a novel is a stinging exercise in self-doubt, so reading all the kind words about ‘Orange’ over the last few months has left me immensely, profoundly, unbearably grateful. I’m so glad it found you. 🍊 In advance of the publication of my US/Canadian edition in March 2027 (cover reveal soon!), @greg.kearney and @goclydego have provided these beautiful endorsements. Thank you so much to you both - you’re wonderful - and to all the brilliant writers who have been so generous with their time and words. by @curtis_garner
Join The Waves and Cipher Press as we celebrate the publication eve of Joe Conroy’s highly anticipated debut novel IN OUT. For this special occasion, Joe will be in conversation with fellow lauded author Curtis Garner. ‘Every day was as boring as the next.’ So begins IN OUT, which follows an unhinged twink adrift in a Britain hurtling towards the monumental changes of 2016. The antihero, an Oxford dropout with Kate Moss cheekbones, uses Grindr to wrangle plates of cacio e pepe, otherwise surviving on Malbec, keys of ketamine, and cheese puff-topped pizza. After one date leads to assault, he finds himself suddenly sober in his mother’s hyper-bougie suburban townhouse. As he unravels, past and present collide with catastrophic consequences. A quicksilver study of masculinity, class, family, and addiction. IN OUT has been making the rounds amongst some very special novelists — with its author being called ‘a mad genius and an essential new voice in British literature’ (Sufiyaan Salam), ‘a huge new talent’ (Sophie Mackintosh), and ‘a bright young voice who writes with disarming humour and nerve’ (Lucie Elven). Joe will be joined by Curtis Garner — celebrated author of the instant queer classic’ (Jon Ransom) ISAAC and the ‘masterful’ (Attitude) new novel ORANGE. Wednesday 30 September 6:30PM. Free entry. Limited seating. Please RSVP via link in bio. @joe__conroy @queer_novels @cipher_press by @curtis_garner

An evening of inspiring discussion at The Sloane Club with acclaimed novelist and art historian James Cahill, interviewed by novelist Curtis Garner, to celebrate the launch of The Beverly Hills Housewife. Set against the backdrop of 1960s Los Angeles, the conversation explored the fascinating intersection of art, culture and storytelling, drawing on the lives of David Hockney and his muse, Betty Freeman. The Beverley Hills Housewife is published on 27th August. by @curtis_garner
