Enquanto existir vocês pra fazer a curva com a gente, o fascismo, a gentrificação, a homotransfobia, o body shaming, o racismo, o sionismo, o machismo, o capitalismo nunca vão vencer. KEEP IT CURVY Obrigrata @highergroundlisboa e toda equipa, além de toda a família CURVS. by @curvycurvs

ATUALIZAÇÃO: A partir dessa edição, a entrada via community guestlist vai acontecer mediante APRESENTAÇÃO DE UM QR CODE À PORTA. Nos ajude a continuar a construir esse espaço de celebração e resistência de corpas desviantes :) CURVS #16 - COMMUNITY GUESTLIST LINK IN STORIES If you are trans and/or non-binary and/or intersex and/or POC/Black/racialized and/or fat and want to be added to the guestlist for CURVS #16, please leave your name and email address in the form available in the bio :) The list closes on the day of the party, April 30, at 2 PM. UPDATE: Starting with this edition, entry via the community guestlist will require PRESENTING A QR CODE AT THE DOOR. After filling out the form, you will receive instructions on how to access your ticket VIA EMAIL ON THURSDAY, THE DAY OF THE PARTY. Keep an eye on your email!! ATTENTION TO CLASS CONSCIOUSNESS: this list is important because CURVS wouldn’t exist without trans, POC, and fat bodies. But it’s essential to engage in intersectional self-identification with a class-based lens, okay? Even if you’re trans/racialized/fat, if you have enough resources to pay the ticket price without it being a (major) financial strain, please pay. Help us continue to build this space for celebration and resistance for deviant bodies :) by @curvycurvs

🚨🪩‼️ MEET OUR DJs: @violetakaviolet In Lisbon, Violet is contributing to her local scene from different angles. She’s co-founder of online radio station @quanticaonline and @planetamanas and also a resident at @minasuspension . This work permeates Violet’s practice as an artist, as she thoughtfully expresses the political history of dance music through her voice and her music. As a producer, she has released music on One Eyed Jacks and Love On The Rocks, self-released collaborations with artists likes Elles, DEBONAIR and Nightwave for International Women’s Day, remixed on Cómeme and established her own label – Naive. The first self-released EP on it, “Togetherness” resonated widely, using the sound of familiar breaks and twisting them into new contexts with dub-inspired bass, brass flourishes and dreamy chords. Eris Drew played the title track on her widely appraised RA podcast as well as choosing it as the featured track in a short film about her DJing. Violet incorporates similar sounds from her production process into her DJing, melding breaks, extraterrestrial jacking rhythms, imaginative techno, acid house and more in a way that feels natural and challenging all at once. She has contributed mixes for Beats In Space, Crack, The Ransom Note, Mixmag and Cómeme as well as having radio appearances on Rinse, NTS and The Lot. Violet has played across Europe at parties and clubs such as Room 4 Resistance, Berghain/Panorama Bar, Berlin Atonal and Field Maneuvers and embarked on her first Latam and Asia tours in 2018.
