First support from the GRIM team will be @custom_css . Her range is huge, varying from downtempo to hardcore with a heart for the experimental side of things. We’re curious what sounds she collected during her summer adventures and we‘re sure she will surprise us with a bouquet of complex grooves and hard kicks.

GRIM 003

We are so back! Festival summer is officially over and we’re happy to announce our 3rd edition at wonderful @slot_keller on Halloween night. Expect scary soundscapes, crawling critters and magical mysteries on the dancefloor.
We’re super happy to host @marina_mason aka SCRAIC’s hamburg debut, the Irish sound design student has their very own experimental approach to creating hectic, yet blissful atmospheres somewhere in the realm between tribal tekno and psychedelic sound therapy. We’re so glad to have them and show us their repertoire of sonic specialities.
Our second guest is @laetizia____ , the hamburg based producer will have her first solo album releasing on 22nd October on @io.records and is a great creator and selector of deep low end and percussion-heavy tunes. She never fails to create genre-bending, immersive experiences reaching from dubby spheres to hypnotic hyperpercs. We’re looking forward to hearing her new album and are excited for what she will pull out of her bag of tricks.

Last but not least we will have @g_n_a_r_l , one of the creators of GRIM, presenting his latest finds and gems, pushing tension and energy just to comfort you with dreaminess in the next move. We’re eager to listen how he shoves us from meditative states into raging rumbles.

Starting the evening peanut aka @riekebalke will give us an introduction into the deep spheres of ambient & dub techno. Next @custom_css will continue to play some minimal with a focus on releases from the early and mid 2000s. Afterwards @yung.schiebedach will play a very rare & ricardo set you really shouldn’t miss. Closing the night @service.manual will present you their live setup. A mix of minimalistic and floating elements with a deep bass creating a very unique approach to house music.

Extended almost 6 hour trip from a few weeks ago. Got invited to play the Afterhour at Mühle @mitdirfestival and prepared an extended open end set with lots of pitched down sounds and strange vocals. It rained quite a lot but the atmosphere was super magical. Truly beautiful experience, thanks again for the invite, I had a super nice time, much much love 🦟🌧️💖🎡🪅 taken in MIT DIR - Festival by @custom_css

Played some progressive & psy influenced tracks, mostly late 90s/00s. Very down to play similar stuff again, hmu 🍬 by @custom_css

Recording from last Saturday where I tried playing vinyl for the first time. I did not prepare or practice anything before and just took quite a big selection of my small record collection to fill these 4 hours.

This mix has quite a lot of mismatched beats and small gaps, but I decided to upload it either way. It was so nice to notice that, after the first two hours, I sort of got into a more relaxed way of mixing and just trying out things and finding a certain way of playing. And even (almost) beatmatching some records for the first time, which was very exciting.
It was really nice to just play tracks and not overthink the whole setting. Most of the records are cheap second-hand finds.

I felt very welcomed and really enjoyed the feeling of this very cute bar @pony_bar
