Custom door handles and signage on the facade of the new Decus design studio.

Soft colour palettes and clean lines bring the calm vibes on this @danielboddam designed house. We helped design and fabricate the front door handle which is solid cast bronze and finished in a dark brown patina. We’re so excited to see these pics of the new @decus_interiors entrance door handle in all its glory. Their new showroom is so rich in refined details and beautiful materials and this sweeping door pull was something we took from an initial sketch to its final form to make a one of a kind piece for this space. by @customcastings_

Over the moon to see some of the black bronze candelabra’s we designed and made with @ysg.studio for their revamp of Aqua Dining featured in the YSG guest editor edition of @habitusliving which is available now. Thanks for the incredibly kind words! by @customcastings_

We’re incredibly thrilled to see another collaboration with the fantastic team at @thomashamel in the pages of @voguelivingau again for their VL50 issue where Thomas has been recognized as the interior designer of the year.

This bronze drapery chandelier for their Point Piper project has been nickel plated for a soft silver patina and projects a cast glass fin that radiates light above the kitchen island with the under lighting highlighting the bubbles caught in the glass.

This labour of love was a team effort with lots of reworking the form and welding by Felix and Phil and overall design, lighting and installation by Ash.

The glasswork was created with @canberraglassworks the bronze cast in house at our own foundry @customcastings_

Stylised frogs cast in bronze. Images show original carvings in Huon Pine, cast wax moulds, cast bronze’s and the patina process. Very happy with the result with huge thanks to Oliver @customcastings_ by @customcastings_

One of our favorite designs brought to life last year, a beautiful custom door handle set showcasing some of the design possibilities in lost wax casting @em_be_ce @joinconstructions by @customcastings_

Its always very exciting to see things we helped create out in the world!

@patryk_design has designed a beautiful, minimal and elegant table lamp that we cast in bronze and brought to a satin finish at our workshop.

It’s a great example of how designers can work with us to create one off or low run pieces where we cast directly from a 3D print, skipping expensive tooling and allowing more creative forms to be produced than typical limitations.

You can see this work and many others at ‘100 Lights’ curated by @friends.associates as part of the @ngmelbourne Melbourne Design Week.

Approaching the final polish on this work before it’s sealed. This is our largest version of this drapery style work in a mirror polish finish we’ve ever made. Coming in at 1 meter diameter, these pieces are always a labour of love, but also something incredibly satisfying to bring to completion when they start to look like this. by @customcastings_

Surprise sighting of a custom door handle we made for @em_be_ce

Last week as we were dropping a piece to a client we spotted this handle in the wild. Designed by the team at @em_be_ce we cast two off hand versions in bronze and worked with the door builders who created this behemoth around the handles.

Through our in-house foundry @customcastings_ we are able to make all manner of one off pieces from architectural components, to table legs and light fittings. We can work from an idea or sketch through to a fully realised form like this. by @customcastings_
