We’re honoured to present our group collage show ✨Stick Around ✨ in support of Stefan’s Acts of Kindness @stak.life

Join us @salon.margate on Friday 9th January for the launch party! ✂️🥤🎈

The dates you need to know:
🌻 @salon.margate 9-18 Jan
🌻 @thegraingrocer for offseason weekend 23-25 Jan
🌻 the show will run till the end of Feb at The Grain Grocer

Stick Around brings together a glittering array of Thanet-based artists working with collage, to support and celebrate neurodiversity and creative mental health therapies.

Slicing, tearing, arranging and rearranging materials can be a therapeutic, meditative, healing process. It’s a fun, accessible art form that anyone can try. With this show we want to share the joy of collage, as well as the hope and connection it can bring.

A portion of all artwork sales will support the amazing and vital work of Stefan’s Acts of Kindness @stak.life ❤️

Curated and produced by @cutdowntosize and @cobraflex @salon.margate

ACCESSIBILITY INFO:

Come and see us at @Salon for the opening gathering on Friday 9th January, 6pm-9pm ✨

We will provide soft drinks and alcoholic drinks for free until they run out! You’re welcome to bring your own drinks if you like too.

The gallery is a small space with a friendly team, including our gorgeous cat Jeremy (also very friendly). The space is well lit and there will be music playing, but not too loud. It can get quite busy when there are a lot of people in the pretty small gallery, but if you’d like to visit at a quieter time with more space then feel free to message us and arrange a visit.

The space is wheelchair accessible as there are no stairs to navigate, it’s all on one level. You are welcome to use the toilet next door at 101 Social if you like - though this is down some stairs.

If you have any accessibility questions before you visit us, or would like to visit at a quieter time, please just message us and we’ll get back to you with any answers.

We can’t wait to see you at the show x taken in Salon Gallery by @cutdowntosize

Stick Around brings together a glittering array of Thanet-based artists working with collage, to
explore how collage can provide vital relief from mental health challenges.

Slicing, tearing, arranging and rearranging materials can be a therapeutic, meditative, healing process. It’s a fun, accessible art form that anyone can try.

Cutting out images, shapes, words and colours can help us stop cutting into ourselves, mentally
and physically. It can help quiet the mind, keep our fingers busy and help process our emotions. It can provide hope and connection.

Prints for @cutdowntosize

Scanning these collage works at 1200DPI allows for excellent size upscaling and beautifully crisp prints. Giclee printed using pigment inks to archival paper, meaning prints will remain vibrant for decades.
