Random from Turkey 🇹🇷

Turkey was once famous for its affordable tourism: sea, sun, hotels, all-inclusive resorts — an easy and inexpensive getaway that attracted tourists from all over the world.

But Turkey never really appealed to me. I had never considered visiting it, and honestly, I’m not sure I ever would have.

But fate decided to play a cruel… or perhaps a kind joke on me by giving me a Turkish husband.🤣🫣

And now Turkey is no longer just a holiday destination. It has become something more. And because of that, I’ve had the chance to discover this country from a completely different perspective — closer and on a deeper level.

And you know what? Turns out, it’s actually not bad at all. In fact, it’s pretty interesting. 🇹🇷

Oh my God, what a beautiful place I discovered — Nallıhan Bird Sanctuary! 🤎🩵💚

This magical place is home to a beautiful lake that becomes a seasonal stop for thousands of migratory birds. Watching them in their natural habitat, surrounded by such incredible scenery, feels like a truly unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely come back one day — but next time with a good telephoto lens, because a place like this deserves to be captured properly.

And the colorful mountains deserve their own special attention. They look as if someone painted them with a giant brush, creating a landscape that almost doesn’t feel real. But this masterpiece was created by nature itself — millions of years ago, this area was covered by an ancient sea. Over time, wind and water revealed layers of clay and minerals, slowly shaping these unique and breathtaking formations.

Nature truly is the greatest artist. ⛰️✨

When you meet someone just as easy-going and spontaneous as you 🤍
— Maybe we should do something today?
— It’s so hot… we should go to the sea. Or we could just mix it with something else fun. Why not.

And just three hours later we’re already walking around Smögen, soaking in the warm evening and watching the sunset in this incredible seaside town by the water.

We set off with no real plan and no expectations, just picking a direction and seeing where the road would take us.And somehow, we discovered an incredibly beautiful place.
A stunning coastline, fresh sea air, and hills covered with bright red poppies. 🌺🌊 It felt as if this place had been hidden away from the usual tourist routes, waiting to be found by chance.
Sometimes the most beautiful discoveries happen when you stop looking and simply enjoy the journey.

— Where is your husband? Why is he never on Instagram?

What do you mean, where is he? 😄

There he is. Right there. Can you see him? Standing behind the camera, taking photos, huffing, trying his best.

And honestly, being married to a photographer isn’t easy. I always have a very specific vision in my head, which means my husband has the impossible task of trying to turn my imagination into a photo. 😅

So he doesn’t just press a button. He has to somehow guess what kind of image I’ve imagined this time.

So today I just want to say thank you — for the patience, the effort, and for repeatedly helping bring my ideas to life.

He exists. He’s just usually behind the frame. ❤️

04.06.2026 — Yet somehow, I still feel like she was born on June 6th. And I’m not the only one.
Every time I fill out forms and write down her birth date, I get confused for a moment. Maybe because I’ve always felt that if she had been born naturally, it would have happened on that very day.

Her hyperactivity, creativity, and endless chatter in four languages are still going strong.

Happy Birthday, Marusya Dzhanovna!🥹😘🥳 by @cutefarinka
