Brasov, Romania is a vibrant city surrounded by medieval architecture. Walking on the cobblestone streets that all slope towards Mount Tâmpa felt like being transported back in time.

Had fun exploring Warehouse 30 in Bangkok and was impressed by the art space and community there. Lots of hip and trendy cafes, shopping and galleries in that area.

From our summer trip to Romania. Bear encounters and spit-roasted lamb on the Transfăgărășan, told in collage form of course!

It was only a kiss...

Creativity is like a muscle you can train. I tell my students, if you want to get better at something, you need to put in the work, and that's what I'm doing here. Lately making art for me has been an act with withholding judgement. Rather than trying to find the "perfect piece" or get the composition "just right" I'm giving myself permission to commit, which just means glue the damn piece down and worry about the results later.

Step 1: Gather pieces
Step 2: Make art

Here's one way to play with paper...
Step 1: Gather paper pieces that are all one color.
Step 2: Arrange and rearrange them. I used the rule of thirds as a guideline here.
Step 3: Commit and glue pieces together.

Art doesn't always need to mean something. Sometimes, an artist creates just because the act of creation in itself is a worthwhile pursuit. by @cutncollage

Found some puzzles at the back of a Rossman's magazine and wanted them featured in a collage somehow. Experimented with sharp versus torn edges. Part of this collage came from tissue paper wrap that was provided with my morning croissant. 🤣 Current focus is to create more and be curious about what comes out.

Every time I finish an art piece, I tell my boyfriend that he needs to stare at it for at least 30 seconds and tell me three things he likes about it 🤣
