CSS Mini: (ex)Party girlie! Set in 2006 (main story starts in 2007). Liana is a very organized, poised and gifted young lady with quite a bright future! Surely she’s just the perfect peach day and night! Thank you to @makaitheartguy for the colors and rendering! 6 Years With Cut Some Slack Comics! Back in 2020, my account @its.divine.arts began to pick up traction from fanart from The Hollow, Total Drama, 6teen and more. However, I always had these characters in the back of my mind, drawing them for assignments, making little animations for them, heck, even animating Kobe singing Alex Cooper’s Poison. I told myself the minute I graduated college that I wouldn’t be drawing fanart anymore and solely focus on my own characters. I have since kept up that promise, and now I have reached heights that I didn’t think was possible for me. I have met lifelong friends, made a black owned studio @studiocrashout with @makaitheartguy @saminates._ and @dominochlo, worked on other animation projects, books and especially my pride and joy Cut Some Slack. Soon I will be starting Masters School for animation thanks to the work I have put into this project. And for all intents and purposes I would like to thank every single one of you for all the encouragement and love you have given to me, these botched ass storylines, and these wack ass characters for all these years, whether you’ve been here back in 2023 when I first started posting Date Night, or as recently as two days ago. I would have never thought that my work could spread so far. And it will only get bigger, I just know it. The industry is so confusing and scary but if I got this far just with the work I produced now, I pretty much can do anything, can I get an Amen? I would like to thank every single one of my voice actors, especially the day ones who hit me up back in 2022 for my ugly ass senior thesis! Thank you to my mommy, my friends Triniti, Amber, and all the members of @studiocrashout. Without your support Cut Some Slack would not be what it is today. Literally, haha! I plan on completely reworking this comic series into a completely new avenue! A video game or an animation… both… who knows? Time will tell. I hope you will stick along for the ride. #cutsomeslackcomics by @cutsomeslackcomics
Beach Goers (Jasper and Kobe) pt. 6 I’m done! Wow for a summer comic it sure was posted every season but summer lmao! Anyways this is the last comic for a while, reels will still be going on but as I said in my last post, I will be taking my direction with CSS in a more,,, interactive approach! #cutsomeslackcomics by @cutsomeslackcomics
CSS; Beach Goers (Kobe and Jasper) pt. 5 (please read!) Jasper checks in on his buddy Kobe! By the way, if you haven’t noticed, I changed my username on here! Truth be told, the name isn’t accurate anymore. For YEARS I wanted to pivot away from comics. I’ve come to the realization way back when that comics with four main characters is difficult to manage. And it IS! Holy shit, it is. In April 2023, I released the first Date Night comic not knowing where I wanted to take these characters. I didn’t know how their personalities will flesh out, I’ve changed their backstories so many times. And now, three years later, Kobe, Jasper, 2-Bit and Gizmo are completely different people. And because of that, the comic space has grown much too small for them. CSS was always intended to be a larger story. A story that deals with heavy themes set in a modern fantasy world farther away from ours with all the shenanigans that a bunch of 20 something’s experience. So it’s time for me to finally dust off some wasted skills, put on my big girl pants and FINALLY transition into making CSS into an actual video game. No bullshit this time. I got the green light for my thesis and everything this time! So… yeah. The Beach Goers (Kobe and Jasper) part 6 will be the last story centered comic! Don’t worry though, I still intend on posting reels of these characters, voice acted and all. It’s going to be similar to them now, hanging out, shenanigans about their lives and what they go through, just… more plot points will be saved for the actual game. Thank you for sticking around. <3 #cutsomeslackcomics by @cutsomeslackcomics
