You said it was a privilege to be alive, but the real privilege was being alive with you 🤍

Sameera was my first friend in college, and the woman who taught me what love and friendship truly are. A little over a month ago, she unexpectedly passed. Today she would’ve been 23.

If you had the privilege of knowing Sameera, even just for a brief second, you know the quiet grace and openness she carried that made anyone feel welcomed and seen. Her voice could ground anyone on their roughest day, and it’s not fair that the world won’t hear her sing again. She could find the beauty in the simplest things and was truly the most empathetic & righteous person I have ever met.

She was the founding president of Pitt’s chapter of the service sorority OPhiA, a doting mother to her kitten Ziggy, One Piece fanatic, strawberry matcha lover, bass-blasting music lover, future doctor, and someone who saw right through every misshapen part of me.

Life will never feel right without you.

Happy 23rd Sameera, I miss you more than life🕊️🫶

Hi! My name is Charlotte and I’m looking for a freshman year roommate! I’m from Dayton, Ohio and am planning to major in neuroscience. I love reading, painting, lifting, gymnastics, and hanging out with friends. I can never say no to a concert or a coffee, and I love a night in but I’m always down for a fun night out! I can’t wait for these next four years!! H2P💙💛 taken in University of Pittsburgh by @cvcuff
