Noah Perrin, a dual Master of Social Work and JD student, is bringing a different perspective to the practice of law.

This summer, he gained hands-on experience in health law through an externship with the Ohio Office for Medicaid. Now back at CWRU, he’s working in the Human Trafficking Clinic while completing his final year of coursework.

After graduation, Perrin plans to pursue a career in mental disability law, combining his legal and social work backgrounds to advocate for underserved populations. Link in bio to read more about Perrin's journey 🔗 by @cwru_law

For Heather O’Brien, the legal department was at the heart of everything during her summer internship at Nestlé.

The CWRU School of Law 2L worked across marketing, IP, food law and operations, shadowed transactional attorneys, joined client meetings and drafted a contract amendment. The experience confirmed her interest in transactional law and gave her a closer look at life as in-house counsel.

From passing Sherwin-Williams stores in his hometown to working at the company’s Cleveland headquarters, 2L Connor Black is getting an inside look at what it means to practice law in-house 🏙️

Through an extended internship at Sherwin-Williams, Black is gaining experience on the corporate side of law. Next summer, he’ll head to Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP as a summer associate, adding law firm experience to his growing legal background.
