They came to camp. They left with so much more.

New friends. New adventures. More independence. More confidence. A place to be completely themselves.

Summer 2026 may be over, but what happened here goes home with them.

Be You. Be Adventurous. Belong.

Summer camp is made of a million little moments.

Behind every one of those moments was a person who made it possible.

To our Summer 2026 staff: thank you for showing up, giving your energy, sharing your talents, caring deeply, and creating a place where thousands of campers could Be You. Be Adventurous. Belong.

You gave a piece of yourselves to this summer, and Camp Wood is better because you were here.

The cabins may be quiet again, but your impact went home with every camper you served.

This summer was yours, too. Thank you. by @cwymca

And just like that, camp is quiet. 🌲

What a summer. What a story.

Rest up, Camp Wood. We’ll fill these spaces with laughter again before you know it.

See you in 2027. 💚

🌧️ Camp Wood Weather Update 🌧️

We had some rain and storms move through camp this morning, with everyone staying safely inside until they passed

We’ll continue to monitor the weather and make adjustments to today’s activities and programming as needed. Everyone is safe, having fun, and ready to make the most of our last full day together!

The mountains were calling… and our Discover Camp campers answered.

This past week, our campers travelled to Colorado, where they spent time at @camp_shady_brook YMCA and @ymcacamptumblesonlake lending a helping hand through service projects while also experiencing the magic of camp from a new perspective.

From giving back to making new friends, trying new adventures, and creating memories that will last a lifetime, this was about so much more than the places they visitors. It was about discovering the impact they can have on the world around them.

Thanks to our friends at Camp Shady Brook and Camp Tumbleson Lake for being such amazing hosts!

We’re so proud of them for living out what it means to Be You. Be Adventurous . Belong. by @cwymca

WEEK EIGHT- Monday
This week, we're excited to have our Horse Day campers at Camp Wood! Throughout the week, they'll spend their time at the barn learning what it means to ride, care for, and build a connection with horses. It's a hands-on experience that teaches responsibility, confidence, and creates memories they'll never forget. by @cwymca
