Dumpling Circle x CY Eats Recap [08/02/2026 农历丙午年六月二十]🌶️🥟

I’ve been searching for a chili oil that reminds me of home - actually spicy, but still layered with flavor. So when I found @cy_eats chili oil, I was so excited that I wanted to develop an entire menu around it.

And the crowd at this circle did not disappoint. The warmth, friendliness, and care could be felt from the moment everyone walked in. We had a mother-daughter duo, a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary, a returning guest who brought her childhood friend, and even some friendly neighbors have the same dog as mine who I’m sure I’ll be hanging out soon.

And how was the food? Obviously, everything is better with chili oil. But there was one fan favorite beyond the dumplings: the sesame Basque cheesecake. Savory, sweet, and so unexpectedly addictive that everyone asked me for the recipe more than the dumpling🍰

Thank you for @christineyi creating this chili oil right here in NYC, and thank you to everyone who came with the heat and made this circle so special. 🌶️❤️

The hottest collab of the NYC summer is here🌶️🥟

Join @thedumplingcircle x @cy_eats for a spicy afternoon of dumpling making from scratch (yes even the dough), chili oil tasting, and a menu designed to bring the heat from the first bite to the last.

We’ll taste both the OG Chili Oil and Spicy Chili Oil, made with love by @christineyi of CY Eats. Chili oil will be woven throughout our summer season menu, from snacks and appetizers to dumplings and dessert.

Not a spice lover but still want to learn how to make dumplings? Just let us know when you sign up. The chili oil will be added in the dip or finishing touch, so every dish can be served non-spicy.
