THANK YOU, Hollywood Magazine!!! for the cover a few weeks ago. Thank you Jose Vargas for the interview. I loved talking about my past and upcoming projects. With Halloween, elections, kids’ colds, and I don’t know…maybe I’ve been feeling a little shy?! Introverted? I haven’t been doing as much social as usual.

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?
Currently, I’m working on a dramedy TV series called Malibu Mother of Two with Ceci Cleary who has produced many films including the Academy Award nominated To Leslie. Malibu Mother of Two is a dramedy about Nina, a popular New York wellness writer and influencer who moves to L.A. with her two boys, while trying to stay sober and close the open marriage she thought she wanted.

As a rising star, you’ve likely faced challenges along the way. How do you stay motivated and overcome obstacles in your career?
I’ve been meditating since I was twelve and exercising for longer. Also, I go to the beach with my boys. They like to go to beaches with lots of crabs so lately we’ve been going to Topanga Beach. In terms of challenges, there’s so much rejection in this business. Mostly, I’ve dealt with it with very little grace or perspective. But I’m working on that!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?
I’m grateful for my family: my parents, my husband, and my boys. My parents fostered my creativity and now I hope to be doing the same for my kids.

I might be the only person left in Los Angeles who still enjoying this heat wave. I think the super warm weather makes me feel relaxed like I’m on a vacation in Mexico or Costa Rica or Florida or the East Coast a nice summer day where I’m just hot. but then it wiped me out. The landscapers are near my bedroom window so I’m laying down in the upper bunk of my boys bedroom. It’s pretty cozy here. I fed a bunch of ideas to ChatGPT so it’s gonna work while I sleep. by @cybillake
