Case Study: Beautiful girlfriend eating food. Specimen appears to be mildly upset with the food. Upon further research it has been revealed that the photographer has augmented the data to make it appear so. Photograph 1 is a much more accurate depiction of her general state of being. Minions. Why do they mean so much to me? Well the story extends beyond a meme. In one of my deepest, darkest holes of depression, I spent three months hovering over the earth like an apparition. I was void of any positive emotion. The only pleasure I could arrive was through marijuana, binge eating, and playing video games—-Forms of dissociative activities that remove me from my present reality. Then one morning at about 4AM I stumbled across the minions movie. Within the first 10 minutes I was laughing harder than I’ve laughed in months. They were so cute and silly. I was feeling again 💚 I began to see similarities between me and the minions. I too was seeking my master, a purpose, a reason, a person. Consciously and unconsciously we are always seeking this form of fulfillment in our lives. Whether it’s through people or things, we are creatures made to worship. I spent most of my existence ruminating on the “why” and the “what”, rather than going out and seeking my “why” and my “what.” The minions tirelessly seek their “why” and “what.” Never pondering, hating, denying, only acting… and in love. Minions represent a set of ideals for me. As they seek to serve their master well, I too seek to serve mine, Christ. I’m a minion for God! 🍌 by @cyborgkid11

The last week was all too sweet. It was a much needed break from many months of hard work. Plenty of good food, close friends, chaos, flatulence, laughter, and warfare.

Today I was baptized. Baptism is a public profession of faith and symbolic rite of passage for the Christian. It represents death and resurrection. Death to ones old self and sin, and the beginning of a new life in subordination to Christ. If you know me in any capacity, you know I’ve been a Christian for about two years now. Before I got baptized I wanted to really make sure I was committed to this Christianity thing. I definitely had a “honeymoon” phase with Christianity and I wanted that to wear off before I made the jump. In my 25th year of life, my world started to crumble. I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and PTSD, I dropped out of school, and I felt as if I was wandering through life without purpose or meaning. My 26th year came around and I suffered a major manic episode that lasted around 3-4 months. I lost 30 pounds withering to skin and bones, I lost my sanity, I lost friends, I lost the respect of my peers, I severed familial relationships, and I lost my job. I was left with nothing. In the midst of all of this, I began reading the Bible along with several other ancient spiritual texts. I quickly became fascinated by the man in scripture named Jesus. He was unlike the other gods I read about. He was personal, he shared in the struggles of humanity, and lived a life in service of others. I had my own notions of Christianity prior to this time, but upon deeper inspection and study of scripture, I came to realize that Christ literally embodied the true nature of spirituality, goodness, character, and love. The walls I had created around my mind in regards to God started to crumble as I learned more and more about Jesus. It became apparent, what more did I have to lose? Why not try praying? Why not trying to go to church? One evening after having some startling realizations I prayed for the first time in 10 years, asking God to reveal himself to me if he was truly who the Bible claimed he was. Odd things started to happen to me, both internally and externally. From that day my life was never the same. Call me corny, call me a sellout, consider me a fool. Time is moving so fast recently. Life has presented me a new set of unique challenges and I’ve been quite stressed, but I just see it as growing pains. My prayer is to love every moment , the glorious and the hideous. I only have so much time here 💚 by @cyborgkid11
