Can you believe it’s already been a month since we rolled into Grants Pass and Jacksonville for Rally? Looking back, it was officially one for the record books! You know, let’s take another look back together… 🎥 From the quiet morning miles winding through Southern Oregon’s timberlands and river valleys to the unbeatable basecamp energy each evening, our community showed up in full force. We’re still riding high on those incredible memories. 🚴✨ Huge thanks to our host towns, tireless volunteers, and every single rider who made the journey with us. Here’s to the miles behind us and the roads ahead! We’ll have 2027 dates and location very soon. Earlier this month we closed out this year’s @cycleoregon multi-day events with RALLY, wending our way through Applegate Valley in southern Oregon for 5 days of biking. 500 participants gathered, on beautifully curated all paved or mixed terrain routes each day, with 3 nights of camping in Grants Pass and 2 nights of camping in Jacksonville. Our evenings were filled with delicious food and a variety of visiting bands. I’ve never spent any time in this zone, and gosh I’ve been missing out! The Rogue River region is so gorgeous! I had the great joy of inviting my dear friend and stellar skills coach, @22taytertots, to join the fun and assist me in coaching a beyond the basics clinic and an intro to gravel clinic. We also led several coached rides, guiding folks through applying their newly honed climbing, descending, and cornering skills! We had so much fun supporting so many folks in their gravel cycling development and introducing even more to the concept of gravel biking at our day 4 talk! What an awesomely engaged crowd! We also hosted a coach’s corner with daily office hours as another way to connect with the participants. This was my first time attending RALLY and I’m already looking forward to next year! Small parts make a huge difference! 🚲💥 When six bikes in our Jump Start fleet were sidelined by broken chain guards, repairing them meant buying six brand-new cranksets. Enter local maker and volunteer John Fortes @4tesdesign Using his 3D printing expertise, John designed and printed durable replacement guards for us to test. Jump Start Program Coordinator Shawne Martinez put the prototype to the test in real-time with his daughter during Cycle Oregon Summer Kids Camp—and it passed with flying colors! 🌟 Thanks to John’s ingenuity, all six bikes are officially back in service for Oregon students and campers. “Being able to directly observe the testing of the parts in real-life use helped us be sure they were ready before deploying them into the field.” With the new guards printed and installed, all six bikes are back in service for Oregon students. “Our goal of getting more kids on bikes is only attainable when we have support from the community,” Shawne adds. “Generosity and volunteerism from our friends in the bicycle community directly increase the number of kids we can serve.” 🚴✨ by @cycleoregon

Inspring the next generation of riders in Southern Oregon! 🚲✨ At Rally we hosted a COG (Community of Giving) happy hour in Jacksonville at @art_presence_art_center. We caught up with Lara McCormick of Commute Options (shown here on the left) and Cycle Oregon’s Program Director, Becky Newman to celebrate the moment. The next day, Becky led a Jump Start teacher training in nearby Talent, Oregon to expand youth bike safety in the region! “Jump Start creates opportunities for young people to discover the joy of being active and getting around by bike—it makes a real difference.” — Lara McCormick The Impact: * This Year: 1,189 students reached in the Medford School District. * Next Year: Expanding to Medford and Phoenix-Talent, projecting nearly 1,800 students! Rally woke up in Jacksonville with road routes to Ashland and gravel routes that simply blew everyone away. Live music in the Butler band shell in historic Lithia Park and trolleys in Jacksonville shuttling riders to town and local wineries all afternoon and evening. Camp was buzzing with tales of endless descents, great food and more great live music from the Rally stage. Rolling out of Grants Pass and straight into history. Rally riders took to the pavement and gravel today, winding past the 1850s ghost town of Buncom before rolling into Jacksonville, the West Coast’s first national historic district. Off the bike, we connected over cold drinks at our COG happy hour held in the local @art_presence_art_center, just two blocks from our base camp, to hear from the region’s Commute Options and Safe Routes to School representative about our local Jump Start impact - over 1,110 kids served in 2026 and an anticipated jump to 1,800 in 2027! Don Litchfield from @visitjacksonvilleoregon is Southern Oregon hospitality at its finest; he took riders through the history of the region and showcased the incredible number of local businesses welcoming Rally riders with special offers and discounts throughout town. So many Cycle Oregon signs in shop windows! Oh, and the Applegate Valley was voted the #1 wine region in the U.S. in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Crossing the historic Wimer Covered Bridge was a highlight—a quiet moment of local history tucked right into Raly routes. Camp buzz, river roads & breezes, and summer light - it’s all the things that make Rally so much fun. Crossing through Gold Hill, coasting into Rogue River, and cooling off under the canopy at Palmerton Park’s arboretum—Grants Pass and the Rogue Valley gave us a weekend for the books. The rhythm of Rally is in full swing. We wrapped Day 1 with high energy and rolled straight into the early miles of Day 2, soaking up every bit of what makes this week special. Massive thanks to @singerjermaine and @jelly_bread_music for setting the tempo and bringing serious heat to the Rally camp stage to close our first day. The communities of Grants Pass, Rogue River & Gold Hill continue to be shining stars and made Day 2 the best it could be.
