the journey started 4,300 miles away🤙🏼🌈🚲 now how did we even get here??

5 DAYS until my 2 year anniversary of instructing indoor cycling 🥳 & I figured it was time to share the journey of how we got here!!

my indoor cycling journey did not come from any sort of background in fitness (except for being the daughter of a former NBA player)

while I was living in Honolulu, I started going to class at @bodybalancehawaii to try to take care of my body when grad school got too overwhelming. what I found was a transformational, empowering, and FUN way to workout
💪🏼💖

after riding for a few months, I had the best (and scariest) thought: “I wonder what it would be like to teach this” 💭

auditioning, training, and leading for a year at BB changed my life (ilysm BB ‘Ohana). I moved off island but couldn’t imagine not instructing anymore

my first class at @fueledbypower was 2 days after moving my entire life across the Pacific to Wisconsin and it’s been such a treat to continue to grow with this team

if I had never taken the step to start two years ago, I would’ve missed SO much joy/encouragement/discipline/dedication/community/laughter/artistry and SOOOO much more

so take a class, show up for yourself, and listen to that voice if it says “maybe I could do this too”

to my PC fam -

change is never easy. you’ve heard me say it 10000+ times in class “ready isn’t a feeling. it’s a choice you have to make”

I’m practicing taking my own advice as I’m stepping away from PowerCycle.

this choice was not make lightly and was incredibly difficult, but I know that it’s the right choice for me. I have loved every ride, every laugh, every client-turned-friend who has riden with me. this community is so special and I will miss being your instructor dearly.

sometimes the hardest choices we make end up being the best for us. I love you all so much🫶🏻

we reeeeally don’t need to take things so seriously!!! especially our workouts!!!!💖🤗

exercising & taking care of our bodies should be FUN !! period!! and it’s extra fun when you’ve got a room of people who are willing to sing along to Rasputin, Gangnam Style, and Veggie Tales 🥒🍅
