Finished my first fall project right on time for gloomy weather 🥀🍄🍁🍄‍🟫🍂 1/2 zip pullover made from a thrifted woven blanket and Joann fleece (🥲) Modified the Simplicity 9828 pattern with built in side pockets, a shallow chapstick front flap pocket, and a loose waist crop. I will say Big 4 patterns aren’t always the easiest to follow and the zip front construction was a huge challenge that I had to improvise on a bit to make work.

Paired with the wool golf pants I made last winter. Slowly replacing my closet with hand crafted clothing 🌾🌞 taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @cyclicalthread

Come check out my new merch ! Inspired by fabric swatch cards I used to make when I was at the Fashion Institute. I printed a handful of shirts a a few sweatshirts too now that it’s getting cold out! Each one is just a little different and I’m pulling from my hoard of scrap fabric as always 🌟

Thank you everyone who came out this past Sunday to the @westartlanc Block Party. Had a blast, met so many incredible folks (and a snake named Mango 🥭), and talked all day long. This has been my second West Art event and I can’t wait to come back to Lancaster again someday! Many cheers and an extra big thanks to @fight.to.the.death.with.clubs who booth babed with me. The one downside was getting locked out of the Horse Inn 😅 taken in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by @cyclicalthread

Finished this sleeveless top made from @anthillfabric Binakol fabric, a traditional weave pattern that is believed to ward off evil spirits when worn or hung across the entrance of your house. The sleeve style is a riff on the classic Filipiniana top, swapping the tall butterfly cap with a casual, everyday ruffle. Although my goal is always aimed at using recycled/deadstock textiles, working with this weave hits close to home and I love being able to support local Filipina weavers. 🏡 I’ll be adding my this to the rack for the next vending event and, maybe even an online shop (???)
