my first shoot back at home in sf after our own family of 3’s first international trip together! we headed to a couple classic sf spots to give d + t a tiny taste of what their Italian honeymoon might feel like in a few months! 🇮🇹 ngl, it was a little bit of windy dusk magic.

d + d // two genuinely wonderful humans who tied the knot tonight. an officiant, the couple & us as witnesses. they decided they would elope somewhere they frequently hike together & a place in between both of their hometowns. a chill, relaxed & low key affair with hopes of a sunset ocean view to celebrate.

instead, the afternoon started off with a few mishaps beginning with a forgotten wedding dress back at home an hour away, heavy fall fog that totally blocked out any sort of view — which then at one point turned into rain & almost losing their friend who was to officiate the ceremony due to the delay / having no reception up in the mountains. despite all of this, everything fell into place. the scene was peaceful & felt just right. they locked away a time capsule filled with future love letters, a bottle of whiskey from their Ireland proposal & the vows they wrote to one another. they shared a bite of cake from their favorite local bakery & then we chased the clouds to find the tiniest bit of sunset sky before night fell. these two are the ultimate troopers with everything they faced today & this year with original wedding plans getting disrupted. we couldn’t have imagined a more fitting way to celebrate today’s popular 10/10/20 date. a wedding of the times. congrats you two, we did it!! 🌄

wow, hi, hello. 🤍

It’s been a little quiet over here.

Somewhere between all the advice on what to post & how to post it, I found myself missing the reason I picked up a camera in the first place.

So I’ve been returning to a simple reminder:
Shoot for your clients, not for social media.

Every wedding, every growing family, every fleeting season of life... I’m reminded that these photographs were never meant to become content first. They’re meant to become memories.

What a gift it is to witness people exactly as they are, and to preserve a small piece of that for years to come.

Thank you for sticking around while I’ve been a little quieter. I’ve been busy doing the part I love most.

🦋 motherhood in this season of life with two littles has evolved into something I could never have anticipated. shorter days that are exhausting yet exhilarating, sometimes so quiet but beautifully moving, and one of the most challenging chapters I’ve ever faced. I’ve found myself more quiet on here to be more present in their universe. there is a delicate dance we do with time, to give & also to reserve.

it is a privilege to hold the title of being a “mama” — one I am absolutely grateful for every single morning. to all the families I’ve had the privilege of documenting, I am so proud of all that you all have grown with your hands, your minds & your hearts. thank you to the generations of strong women who have come before that show us how to lead & love 💗

100 Days of Kaelyn 🥹 In the blink of an eye our new sleepy bebe has already started forming a spunky personality & is babbling back to us during our early morning wake-up chats ✨ Squishy snuggles especially in the winter season with our sunshine girl make our hearts so full. Trying to soak up every minute of her being our littlest little. Memorizing every little nook & cranny of her tiny self as she grows more each day. Thankful to have had these last few weeks together, savoring the newborn phase before diving back into a new year of work. We are so lucky you chose us to be yours 🩷

🎀 Our sweet Kaelyn Everleigh made her debut a few days past her due date, but still snuck in as a September baby. Her arrival definitely kept us on our toes — both @vnecktee and I were up late trying to finish work projects when she suddenly decided it was hospital time. We’re so thankful for the incredible medical team who brought her here safely, even with her sunny-side-up entrance during labor (just like big brother 🙃🙂).

These last few weeks have been a blur of newborn snuggles, recovering from school germs, surprise house projects, and very little sleep. Watching our first suddenly seem so grown and welcoming our second has expanded our hearts in ways we didn’t expect. It’s been emotional and messy and beautiful — and every minute has been so worth it ☺️ Big brother has been obsessed with Mui Mui & she lights his whole face up with the biggest smiles.

Thank you to everyone who’s checked in, dropped off food or caffeine, waited patiently for photos, sent the sweetest gifts, or shared words of encouragement. We feel so supported and surrounded by love. Truly — it takes a village, and we’re so grateful for ours 💕🙏🏻
