A little look behind the scenes @tonetwisted and I actually talked a lot about Ghost in the Shell after we finished Marionette, and how that world of control, identity, and systems pulling your strings fit the heart of the track.

The visual uses that cyberpunk vibe but keeps it playful and childlike, a character caught between being controlled and breaking free. It is the puppet versus the puppet master. Big shout out to @__fresh751__ / @amxmstudios for the animation

Marionette is my second link up with @tonetwisted, following our first collaboration on PaperChasin in 2014. This time we wanted to take things into a darker cinematic space, creating a track that feels like tension pulled through a wire. I built the production around sharp percussive rhythms, shifting bass textures, and melodic phrases that mirror the feeling of being pulled in different directions. Probably one my favorite beats I've ever made.
