Cocktailing at @juniperandolive.co is the bees knees! So, I needed to add the gin forward Bees Knees Cocktail to our menu! With a little bit of this and a little bit of that, you’re pouring a sweet little stunner 🍸
2 oz Gin - I’m using local @reveltondc ✨
1/2 oz - 1 oz Honey Syrup - I’m using local Stuck’s Raw Honey, which I turned into syrup with nearly equal parts water. Many recipes call for 1/2 oz of honey syrup, but our lemons are STRONG so I up the yummy 🐝
1/2 oz Fresh Lemon
Shake, shake, shake, and pour into your favorite vintage coupe! #sipaway! 🍸

True tidbit: This darling drink originated during Prohibition! Some say it was because the honey masked the smell of gin so you could sip without being spotted, while others say it was created because the honey lightened the bitter taste of Bathtub Gin! …Either way, I’ll have another, please!

Five Star French Pear 🍸
A martini made for sipping while social distancing on a Sunday afternoon.
2 1/2 oz Vodka
1 oz Eau-de-Vie de Poire William (Williams Pear Brandy)
1 Dash Bitters
1 Large Fresh Pear Juices
2 Slices Fresh Ginger

Juice 1 Large Pear with 2 slices of Ginger. Pour into your shaker with ice. Add the vodka, pear brandy, and a dash of Old Fashioned Bitters (I'm using @dashfirebitters delicious!). Shake vigorously and pour into a fancy glass. (I thought this one looked a bit like an upside down pear, perfect! See more of the vintage beauty on the blog!) Garnish with slices of pear and flower 🍐

Here’s to drinking everything out of a coupe glass while cooped up ☺️

My Ruby Red Planter’s Punch. Let the vacation come to you 🍸
2 oz Light Rum
1 oz Gold Rum (or traditionally Dark Rum)
2 oz Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Fresh Lime
1/4 oz Grenadine
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
A few simple changes to this classic highball cocktail and you have my Ruby Red! Shake all ingredients vigorously to serve ice cold. The ruby red grapefruit will give it an even more exciting flavor than the original Planter’s Punch, which calls for orange juice. Garnish with a lime leaf for a fancy flare...oh, and the deepest coupe glass ever doesn’t hurt 🏝 Bottoms up! by @cyndigryte

Let’s get creative with a Campari cocktail🍸 A few delicious additions to our favorite Italian aperitif...and I introduce the splashy-
Siren Spritz
1 oz Campari
1 oz Vodka
2 dashes of the delicious Old Fashioned Bitters by @dashfirebitters (I’m obsessed, each of their flavors is an EVENT!)
Top with Prosecco, add a slice of 🍋and you’re ready for the Riviera!
