New here? Hi i’m Cyn 👋 So many new faces lately: hello PDX friends!

I’ve spent years in social media marketing, launched a bunch of food brands and restaurants online, and then decided to open my own restaurant… with a newborn 😅

survived it
and now we’re onto the next chapter!

I recently moved to portland, spent the last year learning how to CHILL, recovered from burnout, and started a new series exploring the best parts of PDX.

I’ve also been quietly working on something new: @offmenustudios 📸 A content and social media agency 🫶 This time around, I’m being way more intentional with what I take on so I can protect my time, my creativity, and my energy 😌

Got roasted for taking them to some places that weren’t so good 🫢 So after some trial and error… Here are the PDX spots that actually got their approval. SHARE & SAVE these spots if you have the same criteria as my parents 🤌

Where should I take them on their next trip?! “Not too sweet” please.

Also for anyone going to @thepaperbridgepdx after this review, my parents were specially talking about the Bun Cha and Beef Pho. They said the quality of meat and ingredients are better than a lot of the restaurants in SJ. Also you can tell the noodles are freshly made here (they make everything in-house, including their sauces)! by @cyneats

Not a bad day at the office 🪻

Six months into @offmenustudios and I think this might be my favorite part… working alongside insanely talented women, bringing mood boards to life and somehow getting to call this “work” in a lavender field during golden hour 💫

One of my favorite spots for Thai street food. Build your own noodle soup and most dishes start around $16.

🥐 King’s Bakery
Everything is $1–4, which feels illegal these days. Don’t skip the BBQ pork buns. They also make everything in house!

🍜 Stretch the Noodle
Massive hand-pulled noodle bowls for $12–15.

🥟 Excellent Cuisine
One of my favorite dim sum spots. Most dishes are around $7–8, so it’s easy to try a little bit of everything.

🥢 Steam Rice Roll King
Fresh rice rolls made daily, complimentary house-made soy milk, and most items are under $10.

🍖 Yang Kee BBQ Noodle House
No-frills Cantonese comfort food that reminds me of SF Chinatown. Their wonton noodle soup is just $12. by @cyneats

SAVE this for your next brunch plans in Portland! Finally tried @xiaoyepdx and I totally get the hype.

The menu basically hit every breakfast craving at once. A fluffyyyy pancake. A Breakfast Sando that might honestly be one of the best in PDX. And the Kaya Brick Toast? Sweet, savory, and unlike anything else I’ve had.

They call their food “first-generation American food,” inspired by the owners’ Taiwanese-American upbringing, so while this isn’t your typical Taiwanese brunch spot… you’ll definitely notice subtle Taiwanese influence woven throughout space and the menu
