My body is still 30% poutine🇨🇦🥵. Had a great time in Toronto doing some comedy at @absolute_toronto , zip-lining along Niagara Falls, making new friends, and sharing coming out stories over shawarma poutine. Now I’m back state side where you can catch me at @thecomedystudio this Wednesday on “Crazy Funny Asians” produced by the incredible @peterliucomedy . Check out @ammamarfo ‘s write up about our show in The Cambridge Day. There’s still tickets left if you want to see what everyone’s talking about! Ticket link and article link in bio.

🎙️✨EPISODE 1 IS HERE! ft. @cynthxdubs ! ☀️

🎥Here’s a brief clip!
🎧 Full Episode (12 min!) available now on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, & Podcastle!

✨Welcome to the very first episode of Sticky Hopebox Soapbox Podcast! I’m B—as in your Bestie in the HOPE department—and I’m thrilled you’re here!

Our first guest is Cynthia, an Asian American woman whose humor shines both on stage as a standup comic and in everyday life while working a full-time corporate job. She shares what hope means to her, how comedy helps her mental health, and her best tips for tough days.
Recorded in 2024!

As we head into Mother’s Day weekend, I also briefly reflect on my grief journey—and how I usually cope. Whether this is a celebratory weekend for you, a painful one, or a mix of both, I see you. 💐

This episode is tender, funny, and full of heart, just like Cynthia. Let’s start this journey together.

⏰Episodes under 15 minutes!
✨A quick dose of real talk and sticky-note-sized hope!

🎙️,🎥, & 📸: By B, @b.a.lensforhope 💕

@cynthxdubs will be performing during our market at @thehotelvernon on Saturday, March 29th!

Cynthia X. Wang is a Boston-based stand up comedian who cut her teeth in Baltimore. As a proud queer Asian American she brings her unique perspective to dating Gen Z, immigrant parents, 23andme and woefully bad driving. Her comedy has been described as heartfelt, a little raunchy and the answer to all of your problems! Cynthia has performed in the Boston AAPI Comedy Festival, Can You Relate? Comedy Festival, Midwest Queer Comedy Festival, Charm City Comedy Festival and all over the New England area. She just lost her glasses for the fifth time today and is excited to share her jokes with you!
