Dancers, artists & local organizers gathering in community on the path towards liberation. Mutual Aid Dance Jam & Fundraiser event.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Meet some of the voices behind the Cypher 4 Change event when we ask our organizers, “What does CHANGE look like to you?” Swipe ⬅️ to read their answers.

🔺The Cypher 4 Change (3.30.25) is a fundraiser dance jam that aims to bring communities together to raise awareness of oppressive systems, amplify the voices of the under-heard, and raise funds / collect goods that will benefit communities from our backyards in Boston all the way to Gaza, and Goma (DRC), amongst other artivist chosen recipients. To simply look at the landscape of our local, national, and global society is to know that a change is necessary, but often we feel stuck in “what should I do?” and “what can I do as just one person?” The truth is, we’re BETTER TOGETHER, so please join us on *SUNDAY MARCH 30* to share space & resist the status quo through dancing, expression, poetry, and mutual education.

Taking a moment to circle back & give thanks to everyone who supported the C4C Bday edition fundraiser for Congo @invisible_kids_academy243 . 🇨🇩❤️✊🏽 Thank you to bday girl @candymonstaa617 for pushing the needle forward in how we show up for, talk about, and support the needs of others - from Congo, to Sudan, Palestine, Cuba and beyond and back to ourselves - the fight for black liberation, and end to homelessness, and upholding the dignity and rights of everyone in everything you do.

This C4C was also special because folks had a chance to learn about the Warrior of Peace @jedailegacy collection, its inspiration and its connection to Congo. Thank you @shannalim_slimboogie for continuing to share your story, your SUN, and your collection with us. 🙏🏽🖤. Much love.

💐Thank you to everyone who attended and/or donated & helped make this fundraiser so impactful [last slide].

🖤 BIG LUV to the amazing C4C team for getting it done together again & 🔊 DJ @ikebana.2

Community Moments, May 2026 👐🏽
❤️Thanks to Spontaneous Celebrations for having the C4C to Wake Up The Earth!! Much love to everyone who showed up, stopped by, danced and participated in our rainy-hour cypher! Events like these give C4C a platform to share our mutual aid missions with more communities and most importantly, to amplify the voices of our partners and friends in Gaza, Congo and beyond. 📣🇨🇩🇵🇸🇸🇩🌍

💙This month we were also successful in reaching a fundraising goal of $300 for the Invisible Kids Academy! Thank you to everyone who engaged, reposted, and shared. Within a few days of receiving donations, we were able to provide funds for immediate food and supplies to the kids and their caretakers. Proof of donation posted on slides 5&6. This ongoing effort doesn’t stop with us, so please check out @invisible_kids_academy243 & @junglemoonmama to support another ongoing fundraiser as we head into June.

🖤To our organizers, friends, collaborators, and fellow dancers - thank you for your joy, your fury, passion and collective energy in the moments that we share and in the resistance that we shape together.

🎤AND AN ANNOUNCEMENT‼️
