How to dance with 🎧 and auto-sync the music

It took me a year to make this app.. It’s something I’ve always wanted for myself, so I made it!

And I realized other people might like it too. It lets you:

- Dance with headphones
- Auto-sync the music
- Have unlimited recording time

Comment 🎧 and share if you would use this and want to test it out!

(If there’s enough ppl interested, then I’ll try pushing it onto the App Store) by @cyphrcam

Attempting to describe how I use my dance tool @cyphrcam in my own practice: it’s been roughly 2 years since I started building this tool. And I’ve been thinking a lot on who it’s really for, the purpose of it, and the different ways it can be used to support deeper practice and quicker improvement in one’s movement quality.

Yes the tool is quite simple: upload your own music, dance with headphones/speakers, dance to a whole song, and have a finished video with the music perfectly synchronized instantly. (I’ve also been working on infrastructure for a music marketplace and filmmaking tools the past 6 months.)

But more than that, I’ve found it to heal my relationship to my own dance and creativity in profound ways I didn’t expect.

Ive struggled a lot building this, and navigating sharing it with others, showing up when life has been difficult + being a big introvert. I work as a marketer for other people’s products, but when it comes to my own creations - it’s difficult for me to share them. I don’t like feeling like I’m “selling” the tool.

I’ve questioned, if I should stop development, or even if it’s really useful to anyone.

But if I quiet those voices and look at how it’s shown up in my own life and creative practice.. I don’t find myself stopping using it. I naturally keep coming back to it.

And it comes down to how it just lets me turn off the world and get lost in my practice. And then research where i went.

Ty to all the people who have supported me early on in building this, who believed in it, and still use it. I honestly don’t know where to go next, or even how to approach talking about it or making content around it.

So here’s me trying to go deeper into the philosophy a bit.

This saves me a ton of time 👉 in @cyphrcam you can:

- dance to your whole playlist with headphones.
- Adjust playback controls without stopping your session
- and have the music auto-edited afterwards.

The tool adjusts for the Bluetooth delay on speakers and/or headphones so in every video, the music is perfectly synced to your musicality.

How to turn freestyle into choreography

Shoutout to my bro @ant_boun for requesting this feature to help with the choreography process !

This one took me a couple months to figure out with the code, but it’s here! And I found it doesn’t only help to learn choreography, but also to study my freestyle and easily add musical structure to my understanding of my dance.

It makes it really easy to actually turn my freestyle into choreography I can potentially share with others 🤔

Try it out in the new app update of @cyphrcam 🎧

P.S. if you use the tool and are enjoying it, an App Store review would mean the world! I’m a one person team, so any support really helps 🙏🏼 by @cyphrcam
