Some dances are simply beautiful to watchโ€ฆ and even more beautiful to feel. ๐Ÿ’ซ Zouk has a special place in our story. Years ago, Andria had the pleasure of introducing this beautiful dance to Cyprus, at Sofia Andreadouโ€™s school at the time. Since then, Sofia has dedicated herself to learning, developing and growing in Zouk, becoming a driving force behind the Zouk community in Cyprus. ๐Ÿ’™ Today, weโ€™re proud to have her teaching Zouk at BailenTodos, sharing her knowledge, passion and experience with our students. Because at BailenTodos, itโ€™s not just about offering different dance stylesโ€ฆ We believe in offering quality and bringing together people who have the knowledge, passion and experience to share them. ๐Ÿคฉ Curious about Zouk? Come discover it with Sofia at BailenTodos! ๐Ÿ“ฒ For more information and registrations, contact Andria: 99 081 622 #BailenTodos #ZoukCyprus #ZoukDance #DanceClassesCyprus #DanceCommunity by @cypruszouk

JORNEY OF DANCE STUDENT After many years in dance, Iโ€™ve learned one simple thing: Learning from different people is great. But itโ€™s important to understand the difference between exploring and building a solid foundation. I have always loved workshops, congresses and private classes and training with different artists. They broaden your perspective, give you new knowledge and allow you to see the dance from different angles. And of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong with studying different dances at different schools. You can choose to learn Salsa with one teacher, Bachata with another, Kizomba somewhere else, Tango with someone else โ€” and Brazilian Zouk at another school. That is perfectly normal. But if you have chosen to study the same dance regularly, I strongly believe it is better to follow one structured system rather than constantly jumping between different schools and methodologies. I jokingly call people who constantly run from one regular class to another, studying the same dance, โ€œdance gypsies.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜„It may look like you are collecting more and more knowledge, but sometimes your body and mind simply donโ€™t have enough time to process it. Itโ€™s like constantly snacking instead of having a proper meal: you keep taking something in, but you never really feel satisfied. One week here. Next week somewhere else. Then another school. Another methodology. Another explanation. Zouk is not just a collection of beautiful patterns. It is connection, lead & follow, musicality, weight transfer, body movement, head movement, impulse, structure and the ability to adapt to different partners. And all of this requires time, repetition and consistency. Donโ€™t rush into advanced classes just because you want something more challenging. Sometimes going back to the basics will give you much more progress than constantly chasing new movements. Choose a class that matches your actual level and give yourself time to develop. And yes โ€” take workshops and masterclasses with other artists! Learn. Travel. Explore different approaches. Ask questions. Get inspired. More text in comments by @cypruszouk

Never be afraid of a challenge. Growth starts when you step outside your comfort zone and try something new. Inspired by the amazing @tiagomovimentus and beautiful @emiliafee , we challenged ourselves to learn their pattern in just one hour. It was so great and we gave it our all! Of course there is still room to polish and improve, but weโ€™re proud of what we achieved together. #dancechallengegurmeet #copycats #signaturemove #brazilianzouk One step at a time. Keep learning. Keep growing. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ช by @cypruszouk
