This past weekend the sign-ups jumped: 4,130 riders put their name down for a club ride, against 2,914 the weekend before. Almost the same number of clubs was out, so the groups were simply fuller.

The biggest of them all was 🇫🇷 Cyclo Sport de Pantin, where 71 riders signed up for one 102 km ride. Got a club ride planned for next weekend? Put it in Cyql and see who joins you. by @cyqlapp

The tarmac runs out earlier every week now, and that is usually where the good part starts. Forest track, dike path or a proper bit of singletrack: this is the season your club rides turn off-road. Show us where your road ends. Tag @cyqlapp in your story on your first gravel or MTB ride of the year.

The biggest group of the weekend rode with @velocity_ladies , with 85 riders signed up for an 80 kilometre route. Across 292 clubs the weekend added up to more than 56,000 kilometres, and that is the careful count, because 66 rides went out without a distance logged.

Every one of those rides was planned in the app and shared with the club, so nobody had to keep a list of who was coming.Open the Cyql app, find a ride that fits your weekend, and come along.

We checked the weather on 24,271 club rides in the Netherlands.

Below one millimetre of rain over the whole ride, almost nothing changes: 60 percent of those rides still had two or more riders, against 64 percent on dry days.

Above three millimetres it drops to 29 percent, so it is the real downpour that thins the group, not the grey sky.

Where does your club draw the line? 🌧️

This weekend 779 rides went out, spread over 290 clubs. The biggest group of them all was a club breakfast ride from @anzasingapore , with 59 riders signed up, which says something about how clubs use Cyql: not only for the hard Sunday, also for the coffee. Together those rides added up to more than 59,000 kilometres, and that is the careful count, because 71 of them went out without a distance logged.

Open the Cyql app, find a ride that fits your weekend, and come along.

Nobody agrees on this one.

Every rider has a climb that stayed with them. Not always the hardest one, and rarely the one that tops a list. Sometimes it is the gradient, sometimes the view at the top, and just as often it is who you rode it with.

So we are not going to tell you which climb is the most beautiful. We would rather hear it from the people who actually rode it.And when you find one you want to ride again, it belongs in your club’s route library, not in an email from last summer. That is what Cyql is for: the route, the ride and everyone who is coming, in one place.

Which climb is the most beautiful you have ever ridden? Tell us in the comments, and name the country, so the rest of us can go and find it. by @cyqlapp

Cyql now speaks Norwegian and Swedish 🇳🇴 🇸🇪

Nordic clubs can now plan rides, manage members and message everyone in their own language.

Already on Cyql? Open Settings and switch. New to Cyql? Link in bio.
