🇩🇪CYRIL THE ALCHEMIST is a DJ, emerging music producer and Creative Director based in Mannheim. His artistic identity is built around carefully crafted Techno journeys, where atmosphere, tension and dramaturgical progression take priority over short-lived effects.
Inspired by Hard Groove, dark Warehouse sounds, hypnotic rhythms and melodic textures, he places a strong emphasis on powerful, physical bass frequencies. His sets unfold progressively, with every transition serving a clear purpose and drawing the audience deeper into the moment.
Music has always been an essential part of Cyril’s life. After a striking dream in which he was performing in front of an audience, he stepped behind his first DJ setup the very next day and immediately knew this was the path he wanted to dedicate his life to.
Alongside his artistic career, Cyril founded STRIVE DEPARTMENT, a creative collective bringing together electronic music, fashion, design and community around a shared cultural identity that extends far beyond the dancefloor.

ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT 002 — CYRIL THE ALCHEMIST

Founder, Creative Director and Resident DJ of STRIVE DEPARTMENT.

“So this is what it feels like when music flows through your veins…”

„For as long as I can remember, I have carried an incredibly deep connection to music. Art and aesthetics have accompanied me throughout my entire life as well.

STRIVE is not simply a collective to me. STRIVE is the expression of my soul.

At its core lies an uncompromising and unwavering way of life. It is about creating a space for those who share the vision of wanting more from life.

I want to offer people a platform where they can unfold completely and individually—without ever having to fear judgment for who they are or what they create.

STRIVE marks the beginning of a world for artists, visionaries and aesthetes.

STRIVE is the voice of the silenced—in a grey world shaped by the pressure to function and the conformity of systems.

STRIVE DEPARTMENT stands for the continuous pursuit of identity, vision and purpose.“

My first DJ set, LUCID DREAMS, is available on SoundCloud as of today. It is the first glimpse into my sound and the beginning of the journey I want to share with you. I sincerely hope it resonates with you and awakens something within.

Listen now through the link in my bio.

A special thank you to Falk Kastell for the photography and for capturing this chapter of the vision through his lens.

THE TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN.

TWO ARTISTS. TWO IDENTITIES. ONE DIRECTION.

CYRIL THE ALCHEMIST and NITROS are the first two resident artists of STRIVE DEPARTMENT.

STRIVE DEPARTMENT is an independent music and arts collective rooted in Mannheim—uniting sound, visual culture and creative expression under one shared vision.

Built for those who refuse to disappear within the crowd, STRIVE is a safe space for individuality and a cultural symbol for those who choose vision over conformity.

Every member is carefully curated—not only for their artistic ability, but for the identity, intention and perspective they bring to the collective.

This is more than a roster of artists.
It is a community for those who see differently.

A special thank you to @falkkastell for capturing the visual language of this new chapter.
