This past Saturday's project. @ember.maze got me some beautiful clamshell and slate go stones, but I didn't have a full size goban they would actually fit on. So my $15 thrifted coffee table got a facelift. I removed the old cracked finish, sanded it smooth and used a wood burner to draw the grid and hoshi. Then applied a few coats of finishing wax and buffed the hell out of it till the surface was as pleasant to touch as the stones to be played on it 😁 Now I just need someone to come play with me lol. by @cyrqet

We did the thing again. Phoenix Uprising, in honor of all that was lost in the devastation caused by hurricane Helene. I designed the frame, my friend Michael helped me erect it in an afternoon, and the day of, Taylor Dubya and I (mostly Taylor) filled in the plumage. All constructed with recycled materials and debris from the storm. Huge thank you to those two for their help and to my partner @ember.maze and everyone else who supported with party preparations allowing us to focus on making an art. And a huge thanks to my friends who took these badass photos and videos! by @cyrqet

Finally getting around to posting my latest art piece from start to finish. I turned the Lusus Naturae logo into a kinetic sculpture to display at the inaugural Convergence darkpsy festival. I created a parametric design in grasshopper so I could tweak the dimensions endlessly till I got everything just right 😅 Had the two wheels cut on the water jet at the UNCA STEAM Studio. A HUGE thank you to @sanders.sara and @chas_llewellyn for opening up their services to an alum, and also another big thank you to Chas for all his help designing a better support frame which made the final installation a breeze! I welded and painted the frame in an afternoon, then put down a few coats of primer on the wheels in between the scattered thunderstorms the weekend before the event 😅 For paint, I got these really cool translucent white glow in the dark paints. The idea being that when people first saw them they would just look plain black and white, until nightfall and the bright colors and trippy design emerge. I got a real kick out of hearing a few ppl comment on how the white would prolly look real cool under the blacklights on the first day of setup 😂 A big thanks to @rmbrmnt Elsea, Cai, Joe and Lupa and everyone else who worked tirelessly into the wee hours of the morning to help lay down several coats of paint when we were down to just a couple nights left before the event. And a special thanks to Lupa for painting a badass sign to go with the piece 😊 Huge thanks to @ember.maze and the rest of the Natty Lucy crew for entrusting me with this project and allowing me complete creative control to bring my vision to life 💙 I'm super pleased with how the design turned out, and I think the bland black and white design turn bright colorful psychedelic really added to the head fuckery of the overall piece ☺️ (PS, Please feel free to tag yourself or anyone you know of who contributed to this. I'm not connected with/know names of everyone on here, but I'll come back and add tags once I have a list compiled). by @cyrqet

I accidently burned some holes in this sweatshirt while doing a "weld job that'll just take a sec, no need to go get changed and all that" lol. So I turned it into this, inspired by @jacksews https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3G2eW_t9Mi/?igsh=MWYxdWV1ZGN3cnZxMg== by @cyrqet
