For some reason…. God continues to allow us to acquire trees 🌳 that bear fruits 🍎 and nuts 🌰 @thehobogroup

All praises to the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob!

Genesis 1:11…. ‘Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants5 yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.’ by @cyrusbdixon

We just closed May 27th with a 2.99% interest rate! Let’s be clear: God did it & I won’t change my story!

@dot.dixon was my realtor! 👸🏽

2021 started off horrific, we sold our home a few months prior in a pandemic, trusted God and went from a 4-bedroom house into a 1 bedroom apartment with my wife pregnant! Then unexpectedly my wife was rushed to the hospital and on Jan. 10th 2021 at 10:00am God took our son! We didn’t blame God, we still trusted him and believed in His Word!

While grieving, shortly thereafter we decided to start the home buying process; we decided to build! Yep, in the midst of a crazy pandemic but we felt God leading us there! So we did, what we do! We went with Him!

We started the home buying process with @main_street_homes February 2021! Shortly after we broke ground; I heard to the Lord tell me, ‘Cyrus, go bury my Word in the foundation; literally! (I DID JUST THAT) I need people to know this house stands on my Word and because it does, it’ll be a house of help, hope and deliverance! I’ll rent it to you but it belongs to me.’

So that’s exactly what I did; we built!

After moving 5 times less than 2 year and 15 months later….we finally closed on our home! @tyetribbett @tyetribbettmusic dropped ‘NEW’ the day we closed (May 27th 2022) this song was the 1 song we played in our NEW home! I had no idea the song would be a prophetic anthem for the next season of our life!

(Months prior) Someone close to us prophesied to us this would happen! We standing in the word she released over us! As we got closer to closing the date kept moving back further and further! We had moments we doubted because of the delays in the process & interest rates! We kept reminding ourselves God didn’t bring us this far, to dip on us now!

When the level of doubt I had hit an all-time high God said, ‘I want you you have this, this address will know your name!’

Not ONLY did God come through but we closed May 27th with a 2.99% rate! Gods all in this and this isn't even half of the story!

Gods is about it to do it for you because He wants you to have the next blessings He’s about to send your way! by @cyrusbdixon

Everyday we forget the simple blessings the Lord has provided us with and we bombard Him requests before we ever acknowledge what He’s ALREADY done!

Today, ask Him to make you a blessing to someone else rather than receiving a blessing.

For the Bible says, ‘it’s MORE blessed to give than it is to receive.’ Wake up the God in you; the Christ in your that’s been sleeping! by @cyrusbdixon

Today’s My Sμicide Survivor Day!

I’m celebrating the fact, that’s it’s been 24 years today that I survived my sμicide attempt! I never would have imagined what one catastrophe night would turn into a lifetime of blessing and favor; time spent focused on dedication, hard work plus patience! Elohim (God) hands been guiding my life ever since; unashamed!

You can’t box me in; boxes don’t work and failure is nowhere on my itinerary! by @cyrusbdixon

and 6 reasons you need to read them:

Black Reconstruction in America — Du Bois reframes Reconstruction as a story of Black political agency, not failure, dismantling the myth that formerly enslaved people were incapable of self-governance. Reading it can shift how someone understands present-day racial inequality, showing it as the product of deliberate policy choices rather than accident.

Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary — Traces Marshall’s journey from a segregated childhood to arguing Brown v. Board to sitting on the Supreme Court. It can reshape how readers see the law itself — not as neutral, but as a tool that has to be fought for, case by case, by people willing to risk everything.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks — Tells how a Black woman’s cells were taken without consent and used to build modern medicine, while her family lived in poverty unaware. It forces readers to question who profits from science, and can make people more alert to consent and exploitation in medical and institutional settings.

Sojourner Truth: A Life, A Symbol — Separates the real, complex Sojourner Truth from the flattened icon later generations created. It teaches readers to question how history gets shaped and who controls a person’s legacy after they’re gone — a useful lens for anyone whose story has been told by others.

Assata — Shakur’s own account of her radicalization, prosecution, and escape to Cuba, told entirely in her voice. It challenges readers to sit with a firsthand political perspective they may disagree with, sharpening critical thinking about state power, media narratives, and who gets believed.

Tupac Shakur — An authorized biography using his private journals to show the man behind the persona, raised inside a family of Black revolutionaries. It humanizes a figure often reduced to headlines, showing readers how public image and private conviction can pull against each other — a tension many people carry in their own lives. by @cyrusbdixon

So about yesterday…

I wasn’t even going to post this, but this is the kind of energy you can run into out here in RVA. People are on edge. Quick to snap. Full of rage. Very hostile. Extremely belligerent. Quick to escalate. No patience, no control—just straight anger and hatred.

Look at this moment: you can see it in his face. Tight expression, brows pulled in, mouth open mid-argument, hand thrown out like he’s demanding something or trying to press the issue. That’s not a calm conversation—that’s someone operating off emotion, not reason.

And that’s the reality right now… a lot of people are moving off impulse, frustration, and whatever they’re carrying internally. Whether you call it anger, darkness, or just being out of control—it’s real.

That’s why you’ve got to stay aware at all times.

Protect your peace. Move smart. Don’t let somebody else’s moment of chaos pull you into something permanent.

Stay safe… but also stay ready.

Like Nipsey said—stay dangerous. Not reckless… but prepared, disciplined, and in control of yourself at all times.

Because out here, you never know who you’re dealing with.

He almost found out.
