There’s just something about having cool tools in your garage that makes working on your build that much more enjoyable. 🔩

The @Downstar Billet Bolt Gauge is one of those pieces that looks just as good sitting on your workbench as it does being used.

Are there cheaper bolt gauges out there? Absolutely. Do you NEED this one? No. But let’s be honest, there are plenty of things we buy for our builds that we don’t necessarily need. Sometimes, you just appreciate the design, the craftsmanship, and having something cool in your garage.

I own one of these myself, and I absolutely love it. When I’m not using it to sort through hardware, it sits on my workbench looking good. And honestly, that’s part of the appeal.

Not everything in this hobby has to be about horsepower or performance. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make you smile every time you walk into the garage.

🔥Throtl HONDA PRELUDE “TYPE R” [Part 1]- Max Biost’s @denniscaco Had the pleasure of checking out the new @idemitsulubes x.@throtl SEMA build by the guys at Throtl with @hondaprojason . @rickie_runningsolo gives us the rundown of how “easy” it is to bolt-on the K20C1 Type R engine into the new Prelude- kinda like … it was meant to be. Hmmmmmm….. EVEN THE DASH BOLTS IN. 🤔 What do you think? Is this the new Honda Prelude Type R - OR MAYBE AN UPCOMING ACURA INTEGRA TYPE R?! 😬❤️ #starttherumors

The Max Boost Civic is looking fresh in its new coat of Midori Green! 💚🔥

With the paint officially complete, it is time for the next phase of the build. The Civic is making the trip from California to Arizona, where @vtec.academy academy will handle the engine swap as we push toward SEMA!

The finish line is getting closer, and the progress is starting to come together. But with SEMA right around the corner, there is still plenty of work ahead. Like every SEMA build, this one is going to come down to the wire! ⏰

Stay tuned as we follow the journey from fresh paint to a finished build. We cannot wait to see this Civic come together!

K Series power. Endless possibilities. 🔥

As much as I’m a B Series guy at heart, I have to give credit where credit is due. The K Series builds at The Honda Meet in Tampa were seriously impressive.

From clean, tucked engine bays to fully built setups pushing serious power, the K Series has become a huge part of modern Honda performance. With its strong aftermarket support, impressive power potential, and ability to take these cars to another level, it is easy to understand why so many builders have made the switch.

I might always lean toward a classic B Series for ProjectEJ6, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a beautifully executed K Swap. Some of the builds at this show were proof that when the right parts, creativity, and attention to detail come together, the results speak for themselves.

At the end of the day, whether you’re B Series or K Series, we’re all here for the same reason. We love these cars, the culture, and the creativity that keeps the Honda scene moving forward.

There is just something about a B Series engine sitting in the engine bay of a 90s Honda. 🤍

The shape, the intake manifold, the valve cover, and the way everything comes together. It is one of those combinations that never gets old, especially when you see a clean well-built Honda.

Honda’s B Series helped define an entire generation of Honda performance. From the high-revving B16 to the larger-displacement B18 variants, these DOHC engines became icons of the golden era of Honda tuning. VTEC, an endless aftermarket, and the ability to build everything from a fun street car to a competitive drag car made the B-Series a legend.

And that is exactly why I chose this route for #ProjectEJ6

When I started building ProjectEJ6, I wanted to capture what makes a 90s Honda so special. For me, that means more than just building a car that makes power. It is about preserving the character of the platform, embracing the era that made these cars legendary, and creating something that feels right every time the hood comes up.

Sure, some will say the K Series is the way, and there is no denying what those engines can do. But there is something about opening the hood of a clean 90s Civic and seeing a properly built B Series that just hits differently. Call it nostalgia, call it personal preference, but that classic engine bay never gets old.

Seeing all the incredible Hondas at @thehondameet in Tampa yesterday only reinforced that feeling. The builds, the details, and the passion behind these cars are what keep the Honda community alive.

For ProjectEJ6, the B Series isn't just an engine choice. It is part of the vision for the entire build.

THE HONDA MEET 2026 | TAMPA, FL

Another great day surrounded by Honda enthusiasts, incredible builds, and the culture that brings us all together. @thehondameet took over the Yuengling Draft House in Tampa, Florida, and it was the perfect setting for a day dedicated to all things Honda.

This was my second time attending The Honda Meet, with my first being back in 2022, shortly after moving to Florida. It's awesome to see the scene continue to bring people together, and this year's event did not disappoint. The attention to detail on some of these builds was next level, with plenty of inspiration around every corner.

Walking around definitely got me fired up to get back in the garage and put some more work into #ProjectEJ6. Sometimes all it takes is seeing a few incredible builds in person to remind you why you fell in love with the scene in the first place.

We couldn't have asked for better weather either. Sunny skies, 82 degrees, and a nice breeze made for a perfect day.

It was also great getting to chop it up with @Percymescudi and @wh1te_chocolat3 in person after talking online so much over the years. That's one of the best parts of this community.

Big shoutout to everyone who put the event together and all the owners who brought their cars out. The passion is still alive, and events like these remind us why we do it.

Man I just had to get on here and make an appreciation post for today. Probably one of the best car days I’ve had in AWHILE. So many homies, dope ass cars, great vibes. @thehondameet is the greatest CAR MEET Florida could have. No jojo siwa ass burnouts, two step competition, NUNNADAT. Just ENTHUIASTS. I hope it returns next year. One thing I started with today is asking to take photos with the homies cause you never know man. Life too precious. Gotta get these memories in. Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed love today. Truly grateful for all the daps, flowers and cool shit! My dawg @kennyvaldez_ blessed me with the start of my hotweelz collection, lunch and just vibes! My guy @cz_mate gifted me a project cano bag!!! Just love bro!! HOT IMPORT NIGHTS | 2002

Before Instagram posts, event announcements, and car features lived on our phone screens, the import scene spread the old-fashioned way. Through magazine ads, word of mouth, and flyers handed out at local performance shops.

Hot Import Nights was more than just a car show. It was an experience. The cars, the models, the music, the sponsors, and the crowds all came together to create something that defined an era of import culture.

These original 2002 flyers are a little piece of that history. Four different designs from a time when getting one of these in your hands meant you had something to look forward to that weekend.

Designed by @denniscaco, these flyers captured the look and energy of the early 2000s import scene. The graphics, the colors, the cars. Everything takes you right back.

For those of us who lived through this era, you know exactly what this brings back. And for those who came after, this is a glimpse into the culture that helped pave the way for what we have today.

Kenny Tran Quaker State Civic 🏁🔥

The golden era of import drag racing. Kenny Tran’s Jotech Motorsports Civic helped push the limits of front-wheel-drive performance, running an incredible 8.12 at 184 MPH.

If you grew up on Import Tuner and Sport Compact Car, you know exactly why cars like this were special. This was an era that inspired a generation and helped shape the Honda scene we know today.

Real racers. Legendary builds. Timeless history.
