Light Infantry 2026 Gear - Swipe for details ➡️ Read caption for more 🗒️
.
.
As pistols were optional this year, so I only ran a rifle for Light Infantry, Lighter Division. After some consultation with my competition buddy @the_holy_zetor I decided to take a 16" 5.56 @czechsmallarms VZ58, while he went with a 10.3" AR15.

For the optic stack, I went with a @primaryarms_optics 5x Prism, topped with a @vortexoptics enclosed Defender ST dot. Both mounted via a @polishsupremacist44 PAMM-5 on a @rs_regulate side mount.

Suppressor is made and tuned specifically for VZ58 by the Swiss company Wyssen Defence. Sling is @savotta_military's awesome Griffin Sling MOD. Handstop from @kpyk.ua. Buttstock from @gun_power_nation, attached via @stormwerkz 1913 adapter.

Uniform was a @helikontex MCDU in ERDL. Boots from @salomon. Belt from @husar.ltd . Chest Rig custom made by @kaelinconcepts.

The gear was deliberately kept minimal, especially the belt with just a dump pouch. Not shown is the @savotta_military 25L Kahakka backpack that clocked in at about 13kg-15kg with everything for the day (it got lighter the more we shot).

Overall the equipment worked extremely well throughout the whole day. The rifle ran like a charm, not being bothered by any of the sand, mud, dirt or water. The chest rig was the perfect size for carrying enough ammo on the high round count stages, while still staying "slick". The backpack was plenty spacious for everything we needed. I initially thought the 16" barrel with added suppressor would be too large, but given how extra lightweight the rifle overall is, it still felt very mobile and the length didn't bother me at all. The optic setup was also perfect for the 5-140m engagements. Overall I would run the exact kit again, probably just optimize some of the extra stuff I carried in the backpack. taken in Podwórze Koguta - Strzelnica w Zielnowie by @czechsmallarms

Decided to swap a few things around on the 5.56 VZ58 to make it more practical. Still need to swap the grip and replace the thread adapter with the correct threaded muzzle device. taken in Switzerland by @czechsmallarms

Our weapons are favored both by the professionals in the field as well as those portraying them on the silver screen.
