If there’s one word that sums up 2025 for me, it’s “Mugen.”

I purchased her in late 2024 and got her fully Mugen’ed out for Wekfest 2025. In less than a year, the mission was completed. The parts came from all over the world: 🇯🇵🇳🇿🇬🇧🇹🇭🇸🇽🇵🇰. Thank you to everyone that helped source.

She was never meant to be a show car, but rather a driver so there are definitely some imperfections.

Getting back into Hondas after a 25 year hiatus has been a fun and rewarding experience. It’s been fun to catch up with old friends while meeting a lot of new ones. Appreciate all love you’ve shown this old man.

Heading into 2026, I plan to focus on other cars. Who knows, maybe I’ll get motivated again and drop in my new engine setup with remaining parts… maybe… 🤔

Mugen FG360 steering wheel with white kanji coin.

I had this wheel for close to 20 years. A majority of those years in storage. Recently I was lucky enough to acquire another FG so I’m actually returning this one back to my friend, the original owner. I’m sure it has more sentimental value to him than me. I realize it’s cool to collect these parts. But for me, the stories behind the parts mean more. Some of the mugen parts I’m finding today are actually from old racer friends who have just held them since they were new.

This particular coin had a white circle around the kanji and I couldn’t figure out why. It did not look like other coins I’ve seen. Finally, it dawned on me that it was just faded from the sun. This wheel was actually heavily used. Imagine the stories if it could talk..
