Rolling into 54 🛼

I’m typically everywhere for my birthday but it’s a nice change to be somewhere-home❤️ Grateful my cousins and family were able to arrange this, some of the magic coming from my dad’s passing.

It was great skating and celebrating in our childhood neighborhood and park. We used to skate and bike Golden Gate Park everyday-so lucky! Felt like a full circle moment-felt special and amazing.

Here’s to more of being me and this aliveness that brings life, seeks light, and shares it ✨

An incredible day at the office-doing what I love. I feel truly privileged to work alongside such a smart, talented team, helping bring our client’s visions and dreams to life. Such a welcomed distraction from my dad’s passing-he’d be proud.

This pic is how I choose to remember “Tito”my dad.
…………
…But now that he’s gone, I find myself reflecting on what he left behind in me. I realize that so much of my own confidence, charisma, curiosity, and bahala na attitude came from him.

Throughout my childhood, I watched a broken-English-speaking immigrant take up space in places where it wasn’t typical for someone like him to do so. He was never shy. Always curious. Always determined. He moved forward whether or not he knew what the outcome would be.
Bahala na.
He was crazy, for sure. He was funny, fearless, complicated, generous, and completely himself.

And I’m grateful he chose to be my dad when I didn’t have one.

Rest in Peace Dad. by @d1ster

DONE DID✅

Damn, I love racing. And although it wasn’t another sub-2 hour, it was a perfect, steady 12-minute-mile pace, just as my knee (and doctor) prescribed.

It’s also so beautiful being surrounded by 30k people, and feeling their aspirations and journeys all around me. @thesfmarathon

The race was perfect, and my knee held up great, especially since I didn’t get another cortisone shot. Recovery is slow, but this is such great progress.

Grateful that I’m continuing to evolve into a version of myself that stays committed, disciplined, and able to chase running adventures all over the world.
