Thank you Third Ward 🩶,for the memories, opportunities, & hospitality. SC born, GA raised, TX degree'd. Three places, one story. Moving from Georgia to Houston 13 hours away from family, as an 18 year old, is not something everyone can do. Every since a young child i've been headstrong about anything I want, so I knew I had to come chase my dreams even if it meant I'd be alone & away from everything I ever knew. This journey taught me perseverance, patience, and the value of community. I realized that discomfort is often a sign of growth, and that being open to new experiences can unlock doors for opportunities never thought of. These experiences showed me that I am more capable, resilient, & adaptable than I already was. Thank you God 🤍🙏🏾Romans 8:18 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." This verse helped keep me grounded throughout my collegiate journey.I never would have made it without You by my side. There were seasons of lows, uncertainty, & burnout, along with celebrations, achievements, and opportunities. Good or bad, You held my hand through it all & helped me see the finish line of this chapter. There were times I've seen you actively protect me from danger & I can't thank You enough. You always have perfect timing. Just a young woman navigating the world with God by her side. 🌎🤍Additionally, I was blessed to have received over $77k in scholarships and grants with in-state waivers as an out-of-state student. No loans. 🙌🏾 Graduating debt free is an accomplishment within itself and I was blessed beyond measures to successfully navigate higher education with plethora of resources and support to make that happen.
