❤️❤️❤️Expectation❤️❤️❤️: Brooding fae lord, slow burn tension, fated mates 🙊🙊🙊Reality🙊🙊🙊: She’s in a hedge (and completely delulu), there’s a body, he’s mildly inconvenienced (and actually the fucking worst!) 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The book is Emmaline: A Story of Love in the Vale by Kristen Coar. Not gonna lie, started out straight up hating Emmaline.... like come on lady, wake up and smell the mate bond!! As the story progressed, our girl learned some things and grew as a human... ahhh I mean Ellyon being. I LOVED her group of friends (if you're friends aren't helping you hide a body, are they really your friends???) and I really enjoyed the world. I would have loved to see a bit more of our main couple together (because Deyric is a vibe) on the page and I would have loved to spend a little more time exploring the world!! My fingers are crossed that the rest of this series follows each of her friends and we get to learn more about the world and its history!! by @d_b_grace

This month we've had amazing stories from the Artemis ii (true story... was a little concerned it was a prank since they launched on April Fool's 🫣), and of course the amazing movie Project Hail Mary (go and see if you haven't already). So in that theme here are some spaced them recs for ya!! My next spaceship themed reads (waiting patiently in my tbr) are: 🚀 Galaxy Grifter by A. Zaykova 🚀The Two Lies of Faven Sythe by Megan E. O'Keefe 🚀Nightchaser by Amanda Bouchet Spaced themed recs that are outta this world. (White writing on a purple background with white stars and planets in the background). 2025 highlights✨️ Joined my first steet teams and got to promote two different crazy cool books!! Got to spend the year working part time so I could spend more time watching my amazing tiny human grow (even though she spends all day telling me 'mummy go away!' 🫣). Our first family holiday, Cairns really turned it up, if you're ever in the FNQ, I definitely recommend Hartley's croc park!! Oh and also got a Kobo so that's helping smash my tbr (thank you Gold Coast Library lol). In 2026 I am excited about reading more amazing books, doing what I can to support more new and indie authors share their outstanding stories and doing a little writing of my own!! by @d_b_grace

So stoked to share that I have finally had a bullet journal where I used every 👏 single 👏 page👏. So I'll be going into 2026 with a fresh bujo!! To celebrate, here are a couple of my fave and go to spreads from the full journal. (P.s the ticks next to the dreams are from where I tranferred them to my new dreams list... not cos they're complete haha!). by @d_b_grace

October life wrap up! End of school holidays and start of 4 term (marching towards the end of another school year)! Highlights were crows having snoozes in the garden, lots of family time, and squeezing in a bit of writing of my own. This month, I read: 📚 Heretic Behaviour: the Lies of Midas by E.C Glynn. (A corrupt god-king with a deranged daughter high on her own drama, a race of people marginalised, hunted and sacrificed to said god-king, a heroine trying to save herself and her people, and a snackable love interest? I mean, what more do you need?) 📚 Fractal by Shae Nicholson. (Dual timeline, with killer lichen, a neurodiverse FMC with a death wish, multiple love interests, and a killer on the loose? Sign me up, please!!l by @d_b_grace

Running a bit late this month 🙃🙃🙃, or technically last month, I guess. My physical TBR goal was SEVERELY IGNORED in October, I got swept up supporting some amazing indie authors and their work. I may not have read any physical books, but I did add 2 to my TBR 🫣🫣😅. 📚 The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter 📚 Angela Carter's Book of Fairy Tales by @d_b_grace

Bonnie Tanner is far from home, buried beneath a Welsh mountain, finally feeling alive. In the chaos of the United Kingdom’s evacuation, Bonnie found herself — and in doing so - became responsible for the deaths of hundreds. Bonnie Tanner is waiting for a train, drowning in her guilt … one step… two step… Ten years later, still haunted by her past actions, Bonnie is hijacked on her way to the grave by part-time sleuth, full-time thug, Brittanic Refugee, Louie. Louie is hunting a serial killer targeting the fractured remnants of his community. Bonnie can’t read minds, but she can see the worst in everyone – every lie, every cruel intention etched into their faces. Tracking a killer might be her only shot at redemption. But is it worth re-learning how to be a perfect hunter… A perfect monster? Fractal by @shaenicholsonwritesbooks is available on 31st October, pre-order now!! by @d_b_grace

Some of my favourite quotes from Heretic Behaviour Lies of Midas. If you like 🧭 adventure (think Pirate's of the Carribean or Treasure Island). 🔥 forbidden spice. ⛪️rebels against a religious system with waaay too much power. 🤭 ride or die with lots of banter. Then pre-order this bad gal now!! by @d_b_grace
