It was all good just a week ago ✨ This birthday was such a special one. It’s such an enormous blessing to be so well loved by such beautiful people. Here’s to the abundant, luxe energy of last week permeating the year. taken in Salamander Middleburg by @d_hobdy

Love surrounded me in 2022.

I mean, it always does but this was the year that I realized, over and over again, how special that is. Because, to have an experience and to realize you’re having that experience are two very different things.

Anyway…

My momma retired & my best friend got married & my baby turned 5 (and lost his first tooth) & I started a new job & scored my first big consulting gig & my other bestie made the Forbes 30 under 30 list & there was SO much more and I got to be there for it all.

There were new inside jokes made & epic nights out & what felt like non-stop travel & so many celebrations & really 2022 owes me nothing.

Still, what struck me the most was how much love there was, from every direction. And again, it’s always been that way, but this year I was able to see it in a way I hadn’t before and for that alone, I’m immensely grateful.

That’s all I really have to say about it.

Here’s to even more love in 2023 🥂✨ by @d_hobdy

A few notes:

Life is good

Fall trips to warm places should be mandatory

And having your photo taken by people that love you should be the standard ✨

Speaking of being so glad that I went to HU…

Last weekend I had the honor of celebrating one of my best friends @kenishabmcintosh and her pending union with the love of her life. I’m so happy to be able to witness the love they’ve cultivated & to be apart of the sisterly love that gathered around her as she steps into her new role as a WIFE.

Miami for #kenaissance was epic 😜Love you forever friend! It’s going UP in a few weeks. by @d_hobdy

@huclassof2012 turned 10 this year and I’m forever grateful to my alma mater, my top tier classmates & 17 year old me for knowing that HU was the place for me.

This weekend was love.

I’m still SO GLAD that I went to Howard U.

Yesterday the sun was hittin’ right, the weather finally understood the assignment & I was OUTSIDE.
