Wow 2025! Sure had its ups and plenty of downs but the people that have been with me for both mean everything to me. I forgot to take pictures on New Year’s Eve but all my mates from that party know they’re appreciated 🤙 I’m a little nervous to leave the place I’ve called home for literally my entire life but just gotta let that happen in the big 26. Don’t worry, the last James Neff won’t let yall down this year EVERYONE knows that. by @d_neff72

I know I’ve never made a post specifically about KM4B so I’ll try to do the last 3 years of my life some justice. This program has given me friends, taught me lessons and developed skills I know will stick with me forever. Never would I have thought I could join something and make the amount of progress I’ve made as both a person and a musician in just a few short years. But the thing I’ve learned from band that’s stuck with me the most is that even if you lose something that you thought mattered more to you than anything else (we all do at some point), if you truly care about it, you’ll never give up and let that one loss ruin the opportunities for so many more wins. At the end of the day, a powerful finish leaves a bigger legacy than anything that came before it.Anyway here’s my ranking for all the marches I’ve played. They get a score for how much I enjoyed playing them and how good I thought they sounded as a full band.🥇 Cyrus the Great (10/10) (10/10) - easiest choice of my life come on now🥈 Chicago Worlds Fair (9/10) (10/10)🥉 Joyce’s (9/10) (10/10) - These last two are about the same, I just did not like playing this in concert 24: Quality Plus (8/10) (10/10)5: White Rose + Gallant Seventh (7/10) (10/10)6: Purple Pageant (7/10) (9/10)7: Invictus (9/10) (7/10) - The best part is the beginning and we didn’t play it 👎 could have been top 3, but we decided to just play Victus8: Killian Fanfare (8/10) (8/10)9: American Legion (6/10) (9/10) 10: Caravan Club (7/10) (8/10)11: Pathfinders of Panama (7/10) (8/10)12: Kingwood Fanfare (6/10) (8/10) my part wasn’t bad it’s just losing a point because I thought what we called it was silly 🫠13: Peacemaker/Trombone King (5/10) (9/10) one of my favorite melodies but Karl King sold the tuba part.
