is it too late to do this trend? lol i finally got around into making mine, and it was hard to narrow it down 🙈

yay for a new addition to the OUABH world!

@stephanie_garber is one of my auto-buy authors. i just love how i felt transported the first time i read Caraval and Once Upon A Broken Heart.

also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of The Mirror of Infinite Endings 💕💕💕

once again letting the internet tell me what to read 😂

this is one of the titles i’ve had on my kindle for the longest time. and since it got picked up for a tv adaptation, i finally decided to read it.

✨ i can relate to stevie, and how she feels about herself at times, so it was easy to connect with her character. with zander’s help and her own realization, she learned to love herself more.
✨ zanders experienced growth thanks to stevie. no longer is the two personas he’s been living. also, him confronting his mom was exactly what he needed to move on from the past.
✨ i like the found family in this and the set up for the following books.

while i do think this a little overhyped, i enjoyed it and plan to read the read of the series.

LKJ is an auto-read for me, and for her to release two books in one year is a gift!

🎅🎅🎅

The Santa Claus con is a spy x romance all wrapped in one! This is for the readers who love 90s/2000s romcoms with a dash of action. It’s giving Miss Congeniality (which is one of my faves!) but instead of a beauty pageant, it’s a Santa competition.

Scarlett and Nathan may be rivals but, man, do they work well together! And the chemistry between this two, SWOON! Their romance was giving will they, won’t they and lots of pining, especially from Nathan. Don’t you just love a MMC who falls harder!

I just love LKJ’s writing! It always feels like a warm hug from a friend. The plot line in this one will keep readers on their toes and guessing along with the MCs who could be Evil Santa. Pay attention to flashbacks because it just might give you a clue! 😉

Expect to feel suspense, and expect to be swooned by this action holiday romance!

i loved Chase Lovett Wants Me, so Mac Meyers Needs Me was a Tilton U book I was ready for.

Mac and Ophelia “Fee” are two friends who secretly have a crush on each other, so a fake dating scheme can be tricky on their friendship. Yes, they did it to get fangirls off of Mac’s back but anyone can tell it wasn’t all fake. Expect some pining! This was a bit slow burn as Mac and Fee navigate crossing friendship to something more, especially since they were both unsure about taking the risk and the possibility of a relationship ruined if things don’t work out.

✨ i like the athlete/artist pairing in this one
✨ i appreciate the intertwining of the hockey world with cameos from the author’s other hockey books
✨ this is a found family readers will get attached to

i recently finished reading/listening to Heart Check.

🏒💕 the cassanova complex 💕🏒

You can’t go wrong with a Maren Moore romance when you need a feel-good spicy read. That’s exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading slump when I got the arc for The Casanova Complex. I’ve read the both The Bad Boy Rule and The Good Girl Exception and enjoyed them, so I was expecting nothing less with The Casanova Complex.

Once upon a night sophomore year, Bennett and Merritt had an almost hook up gone wrong. While Bennett very much has forgotten that night, Merritt still remembers it as one of the most humiliating nights of her life. Now, they’re partnered up for a creative writing assignment, forcing them to work together. Somehow along the way, their partnership turns into a fake dating agreement.

As much as Bennett wants to stick with his celibacy pact, he just cannot help himself with Merritt. Merritt has him wrapped around her finger, and with her black cat energy, Bennett is all for it. He loves the chase, the challenge when it comes to her.

Merritt is that cool girl baddie I’d want to be friends with. I admire how focus she is on her goal in becoming a lawyer, the way she balances school and family responsibilities, and just the nostalgia vibes she brings as a Y2K girlie. It was fun seeing her boss Bennett around a bit and not letting him charm his way through to her. Eventually, Bennett’s golden retriever energy isn’t just something one can ignore. The chemistry between is something that can’t be ignored.
