I wrote a script! Then someone made it! (1st time it’s ever happened)

I wrote STOP OVER in 2022 for a screen writing class. It was living in a One Drive folder for 3 years until Yan Yan @nna_biyn reached out to me asking me if they could adapt it for a screen production class. I said YES YES YES PLEASE PLESE PLEASE PLEASE! I’m so pleased with how it turned out and I think everyone did amazing work. So happy to share it :)

LOGLINE: A heart-broken woman is stuck in a hotel room with an ex-boyfriend she can’t wait to get away from. The metal breakup unexpectedly develops into a heated conflict.

We made a short film!
DRIFTERS: During a coastal road trip, a young girl's desires to swim in the ocean are constantly thwarted by her mother’s overprotectiveness. These might be the last moments they spend together before they are separated.

The day I drew a milk jug! 🤹‍♀️

Today we focused on shape and tone to draw shiny things. It my first time using tone paper, which is a type of colored paper that helps make highlights (white pencil, chalk etc) stand out on the page. So much fun. I’m so glad we got to spend more time on our pieces this time, and later I explained to our teacher Carla that I felt like last weeks class did the opposite of what it was meant to do, it actually made me more self conscious about my work bc it felt so unfinished and unrefined.

There are obviously things I could’ve done better with this, but just stepping back and saying, I’m done with this for now bc I can move on to the next piece and use what I’ve learnt from this one is something I’m learning to do. And let it just be a piece of my learning process.

We’re also getting to know the ppl in our class better and they’re all just super kind lovely and supportive artists, and everyone has such a different art style. Lovin it
