Yesterday, I got to hear my work read aloud for the first time by actors. It was simply a dream come true. If I had any doubts before, I am absolutely sure now that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. There is no drug that could have given me the high I experienced yesterday. I can’t wait to do it again. A million thank yous to my amazing cast:
@dababyrd
@rashida_diva_shabazz
@chet.bashari.anekwe
@ava_luu
@theaddisonblu
@jordanrock
@thespencerjamison

I’m just getting started. Thank you to all of my amazing friends who came out to hear it. Thank you to the @fromthewc for hosting and for allowing me to be a part of the 2026 Summer Cohort of the Writer’s Colony.

And in case you’re wondering what the script is about…Two black women in their 50s who love to cook. One’s a detective. The other’s a psychopath. They’re about to become best friends. by @dababyrd
