As many of you know, the E. E. Smith Magnificent Marching Machine will be headed to Chicago to perform in their Thanksgiving Day Parade. In their fundraising efforts, they are raffling off a 65 inch TV. The drawing will be held on Oct 2, 2026. The price of the ticket is $10 and if you buy 2, you will receive one free. Man, I love good respectful young people. I met some Pine Forest 9th Graders last night while in line waiting to go into the game. One bumped into my chair on my shoulder while lining up behind me. I didn't really turn around because it was minimal. I heard his friend tell him "geesh man why are you all up on that man". I then turned around and said "see, you are a good friend and he didn't say excuse me". The gentleman then said "excuse me sir". The other young man said "I'm really his big brother" and we all laughed because the other dude was like 6"4 and he was like 5"5. I said "Oh, only big brother in age?". I asked them what school did they go to and what grade? They told me. I then asked do you all play any sports and they said yes "basketball". I asked what kind of grades do you all make and they both said all A's and B's. I said "that's what's up, keep up the great work and I hope to see you all when you all play Smith". By this time the lady called me up to pay. I said come on Fellas, I got you. Once I paid for them they said "Thank You Sir and I see that you are going for Smith. I said yes, my son is in the band. I said you all keep your money for the concession stands and stay out of trouble. They said we will. As they walked off, I heard the fake big brother tell him "see what happens when you talk to people". I just smiled and thought that there are some parents out here that are still raising good and respectful kids. I'm glad Braylon wasn't with me because he always says that I am always giving people money or buying them something. He just don't know how many times the same was done for me growing up by guys in our neighborhood or people that knew my family. by @dabodixon310

Happy Friday! As many of you know or may not know the E.E. Smith Magnificent Marching Machine has been selected to perform at this year's Chicago's Thanksgiving Parade. They are working hard in preparation for this trip. They will not just be representing the school but the entire Fayetteville Community. They will need everyone's help to accomplish this feat.
