I hate the number seven. Seven already feels hostile for being uneven. Also, it is not like nine, which feels less antagonistic for its relation with three. It is just a lonely prime number. When I was a kid, I used to think that August was the seventh month, and I still can’t figure out if that thought was flourished only to unconsciously increase the unfounded blame I put on that number. If that was true, it would make the date 08/07 become 07/07, and my father’s death would be even more related to that solitary algorithm.
It is easy to split my life into before and after August 7th of 2013. More specifically, the day I walked into our kitchen early in the morning to see my mom suppressing her tears while telling me my father didn’t make it.
Te amo com todo o meu coração paizinho. by @dacipossebon
