Welcome to DACKELBURG DESIGNS 🏰🐾

I am Leonie and I’ve always had a passion for beautiful designs. That’s why I’m preparing to move to London next year to follow my dream of becoming an interior designer.
The house I grew up in has always held a very special place in my heart, so it felt only natural to name this page after it. Dackelburg means dachshund castle in German and before my parents bought it, an old lady lived there with several sausage dogs. Being surrounded by so much charm and warmth growing up made me fall in love with creating spaces that feel like home.

Come along on this journey between castles, cottages and cosy corners. I can’t wait to share it with you! ✨

Welcome to the twelfth edition of Dackelburg Diaries 🏰🐾
Your seasonal guide to the most beautiful decorative treasures.
Each month, I’ll bring you a new selection of handpicked pieces I’ve lovingly gathered to spark new ideas for your home, so you don’t have to go searching.

This month, we’re embracing the timeless charm of the countryside 🤎
For No. 012, it’s all about rich warm walnut tones, aged wood and soft, earthy neutrals. Think traditional patterns, cosy textures, antique-inspired details and the quiet beauty of a well-loved country home.
A little moody, a little rustic, and wonderfully cosy — the perfect palette for the beginning of autumn 🍂🐻🦉🦔🪵

This month, we’re bringing the coast indoors. August is all about sun-drenched afternoons, salty air, and interiors inspired by the beauty of the sea. For No. 011, I’ve chosen a palette of sun-kissed oranges, soft golds, and natural seagrass textures — colours and materials that capture the relaxed elegance of coastal living. Think woven baskets, delicate shells, golden sunsets, and little treasures collected by the shore 🐚☀️🪸🌊

Next month, Dackelburg Diaries will welcome the first signs of harvest season: orchard treasures, warm earthy tones, and the timeless charm of the countryside. Stay tuned 🍐🍇🌻🍄

This month, we’re celebrating one of Britain’s most iconic summer traditions. No. 010 is inspired by Wimbledon afternoons, elegant garden parties, and the timeless charm of an English summer. Think striped cushions, tennis details, fresh flowers, sweet strawberries, and long afternoons spent in the sunshine. A love letter to British summer at its very best🏆🍓🍦🎾

Next month, Dackelburg Diaries heads to the coast — salty air, sun-bleached blues, and seaside charm. Stay tuned 🌊☀️🐚🦀
