As our farewell to this MA each person of IDP 25/26 will be presented with a post showing a project, creation or future pathway:

DA COSTA

A short clip from ‘Há Barro Nos Barcos!’ choreographed and performed by @dacosta__x

“I’m a Portuguese, half-Brazilian artist who comes from a long line of immigrants. Throughout this interdisciplinary solo piece I embody four generations of immigrant woman (my great-grandmother, my grandmother, my mother and I).

The piece talks about dictatorship, belief, primitive educational mentality, and being in between cultures and their societal expectations”.

Há Barro Nos Barcos!

My new work made for my last assessment at @northern_school

It’s about my culture, my family and the immigrant body.

I want to thank my grandma Saudade, my mom Márcia, and my aunt Fátima for their help gathering our stories and from those who came before us.
