Behind every hard-hitting sample is hours of work. 🎛️🥁

Here’s a look behind the scenes of creating HIP HOP VOL. I—from dialing in the perfect drum tones to capturing the punch, grit, and character producers need to make their tracks stand out.

No shortcuts. No filler. Just drums designed to inspire your next beat.

Most hip hop drum samples sound great in solo mode. Then you put them in a track... and suddenly they’re fighting the vocals, crowding the mix, and killing the vibe.

That’s exactly why we built Hip Hop Vol. 1.

Inspired by the raw feel of 90s hip hop and designed for modern productions, these drums were created to support the song—not overpower it. Tight one-shots. Human groove. Cinematic textures. Real drums played by Daddy Knapps and crafted for producers who care about feel as much as sound.

Perfect for hip hop, R&B, soul, sync, TV, film, and anything that needs drums with movement and character.

The best productions don’t always need bigger drums.

They need better drums.

Hip Hop Vol. 1 delivers the raw textures of 90s hip hop with the clarity and flexibility modern producers demand. Every sound was crafted to support the record—not dominate it. Tight kicks. Punchy snares. Organic grooves. Human movement. Real feel.

Created alongside Daddy Knapps, this collection combines live-played drums, classic 808s, and a vintage DD7 drum machine to give producers a toolkit built for mood, depth, and storytelling.

Whether you’re building a sync cue, scoring a scene, producing an artist record, or creating a late-night beat with space and atmosphere, these sounds were designed to sit exactly where great drums should sit.

No endless EQ moves.
No fighting the mix.
No sterile, lifeless samples.

Just drums with character.

🥁 661 One-Shots
🥁 700+ Loops
🥁 Live Drums + 808 + Vintage DD7
🥁 Clean & Lo-Fi Mixes
🥁 Ready for Ableton, Logic, Battery & Trigger 2

Stop forcing generic samples to fit your vision.

Start with sounds that already understand the assignment. Comment below and we’ll send you the link.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Daddy aka Pops aka Big Red aka Daytons Finest aka Timothy Beaty Sr the 🐐

missing ya like crazy big dawg!! Yesterday was your first birthday we spent without you. Thought I’d be deep in a bottle by now seriously, but no need. Taking yo approach and took it head on this weekend.

Started out grooving to a couple of ya funk favorites. Introduced marlii to Dayton Gems ( Ohio players, Slave) just like I knew you would’ve some day. She danced and hit her lil 2 step sang along and all.

I just been replaying memories in my head all day since yesterday of us through the years. You hooping with me on the fisher price, the hundreds of Dunbar band rehearsals I grew up in. The basketball trips and you playing unwrapped jazz songs my teammates racing to the other vans trying not to ride with us lol

We love you daddy!!!!!! by @daddyknapps
