**Daddy’s Day Out 🐾 Indoor Adventure Edition**

As the weather starts turning, finding somewhere weather-proof for the kids is getting harder — so we took our little man to Nickelodeon Adventure at Lakeside for his 4th birthday! 🎉

He’s obsessed with PAW Patrol and rides, so this place was basically made for him. Inside you’ve got 6 zones to explore — PAW Patrol’s Adventure Bay, SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom, TMNT Action Zone, Rugrats, Nick Central, plus a 4D Cinema — all included in one ticket price. He also got to meet Chase! 🐶

We went on a Friday and it was so quiet — so we practically had the rides to ourselves 🙌

Honestly though, for how big the space is, it felt like something was missing — could’ve used a bit more to fill it out. Still a solid birthday treat for the little ones though!

TOY STORY 5: BONNIE’S PLAYTIME – THE EXPERIENCE 🤠✨

My son’s been Toy Story obsessed for as long as I can remember — Woody, Buzz, the whole crew, on repeat, every single day. So when Bonnie’s Playtime landed at @westfieldstratfordcity, this was never not happening 😂

Booked our slot weeks ago and rolled up yesterday ready for whatever Bonnie had planned. Safe to say he was fully locked in the entire time, zero chill 🫡

What we got up to:

🌀 **Mix Up Mayhem** – straight in at full speed, total chaos, he was here for it
🚀 **Where’s Buzz?** – went full detective mode, wasn’t stopping till Buzz was found
💃 **Dance Hall** – no hesitation, straight into it with the gang
🧱 **Build & Play** – proper in the zone, stacking and building away
👣 **Tip Toe Trail** – sneaking past Bonnie like an actual secret agent, Freeze and Fall rules in effect 🤫
🎖️ **Deputy Badge** – wrapped up with some drawing and colouring to earn the badge, wore it like he’d won an award

🦕🌍 Dino explorer meets Attenborough at the Natural History Museum! 🦕🌍

Our entrpid 4-year-old dino hunter was in his ELEMENT diving through the fossil halls 🦴 — but we also carved out time for something a little different: “Our Story with David Attenborough,” the museum’s immersive 360° experience narrated by the legend himself.

Honest review: it’s absolutely fascinating — walls and floor come alive with footage tracing life on Earth from the very beginning to now. BUT for our little guy at 4, some of it went over his head. It’s officially aimed at 8+ (minimum age 4 to enter), so if your kids are 6+ they’ll get so much more out of the storytelling and science than the little ones will 👀

⏳ Heads up — it’s in its final months, closing 30 August 2026, so don’t sleep on it!

💷 Price: £20-25 adults / £10-12.50 kids (peak vs off-peak pricing)
📍 Location: Jerwood Gallery, Natural History Museum, South Kensington, London
🚇 Getting there: South Kensington tube (District/Circle/Piccadilly lines) — literally a 5 min walk via the museum’s tunnel entrance. Also bus routes 14, 49, 70, 74, 345, 360, 414 & C1 stop nearby.
🅿️ Disabled parking is available on site but must be booked ahead. Otherwise there’s limited street parking, so tube is your best bet!

Museum entry itself is FREE — you only pay for the special exhibition on top 🎟️

☀️🏖️ Sunny midweek + no desire to sit in traffic for hours = local “beach” day @stubbers_adventure_centre!

The kids were OBSESSED 🏰🌊 sandcastles + splash play at the Sand & Splash beach = their favourite combo, hands down. After they’d tired themselves out, we grabbed some Calippos 🍧 and cooled off in one of the wooden gazebos dotted round the park. Then it was pedalo time 🚣‍♂️ gliding round the lake, before finishing on the adventure playground where the kids went absolutely feral (in the best way) 🌳🧗

And that’s barely scratching the surface — Stubbers also does clip n climb, a cave/potholing experience, archery, off-road driving, laser tag, jet skiing, sailing, canoeing and loads more bookable adventures if you want to make a full day of it 💪

⚠️ PRO TIP: book your General Admission tickets online in advance — they sell out FAST on hot days, especially weekends and holidays. Don’t get turned away like many others did!

💦 HOT WEATHER + SPLASH PARK = BEST DAD DECISION EVER 💦

Took my 6 year old to Barking Splash Park and the smile on his face said EVERYTHING. 😭❤️ He’s a water baby through and through — so this place was literally made for him.

We went during a special SEND session they hold — and WOW. Quieter, more relaxed, no overwhelm. Just pure joy. As a SEND parent you know how much that means when you’re out and about. 🙏

The team there were incredible — so energetic, so helpful, and genuinely brilliant with the kids. You could tell they actually cared. 💚

We needed a nature fix and Eastbrookend Country Park delivered BIG 🌳🦆

Packed up my little explorer (4) and my baby girl (1) and headed out for a proper nature trail day — and honestly? This place is BEAUTIFUL.

Grabbed a trail map from the park shop for £1 and set off hunting for the wooden animal sculptures hidden along the route 🗺️🐻 — my boy was OBSESSED. Full Indiana Jones mode activated 😂

Then we hit the lake… and the baby ducks just swam straight up to us with their mum 🐥🐥🐥 My daughter’s face?? I can’t even describe it. Pure magic.

They ended the day and the kids adventure playground located just by entrance. Not sure how these lot had the energy still after that nature trail but we move 🏃‍♂️

This is exactly what these days are about. Fresh air, muddy shoes, happy kids.

🌊 FREE water fun for the kids this heatwave?? Say less. 👀

Elephant Springs at Elephant Park — waterfalls, jets, pumps, slides AND a sandpit. All completely FREE. The kids will be SOAKED and you’ll feel like parent of the year 😂

Pack a change of clothes. Trust me on that one. 👕💧

Sunday done right 🎡☀️

Took all three of my littles to a special SEND session at Amusement World Fun Funfair on Barley Lane today — my 6 year old SEN superstar, my crazy 3 year old, and the baby just soaking it all in 👶

2 hours of unlimited rides, quieter times, no long queues, and an atmosphere where our kids could just be themselves without any of the usual stress. As a SEND parent that means everything.

If you haven’t looked into dedicated SEND sessions at local attractions, this is your sign. £10 per child (siblings too), unlimited ride wristband included, and carers ride completely free with their SEND child. The weather even played ball ☀️

Days like this are why I started this page. Watching all three of them light up at the same time — yeah, that’s the one 💛

Looking for a quick and free activity for the kids? Took the little ones (1 & 3) to Wellgate Community Farm and honestly? Best free morning we’ve had in a long time. Alpacas, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats — the kids were OBSESSED.

Free entry. Free parking. £1 animal feed from the farm shop. Hot drinks for the grown-ups.

This place is genuinely a hidden gem and I can’t believe more parents don’t know about it 👀

If you’re in East London / Essex and need something to do with the little ones — add this to the list immediately.

My 3 y/o lost his mind seeing so much fireman/brigade paraphernalia!! 🚒 There was old school fire engines, uniforms and a hundred helmets! And getting to use the hose at the end was just the cherry on top.

Thank you to @essexfiremuseum for hosting this for the kids!

There’s a little hunt to do as well which was fun.

Perfect lads’ evening out 🎯

When you’re all dads and calendars never line up… this was elite.

Clay shooting at @clays_bar, Canary Wharf was the perfect excuse to catch up, chill out, have a few drinks and get a bit competitive 🏆

Interactive games, great vibes, zero pressure.

⏰ Open till 11pm – ideal for bedtime duties then straight out

Took my older nephews to @tocasocial at the O2 — competitive, chaotic fun and surprisingly exhausting (Zombie mode nearly finished me 😅).

From head-to-head battles to team games, TOCA’s tournament mode gave us the best mix. Highly recommend if you’re up for some friendly rivalry — or just want to prove you’re still faster than the kids 😂⚽

Up to 16 people per pitch, loads of game options, and yes — there’s parking! Or hop off at North Greenwich Underground and walk straight into the O2. Easy.
