Strong families aren’t grown, they’re built.
Father of 4 • Husband • Firepreneuer
Sharing how I lead, build, and protect my family.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Raising 4 boys is a wild experience. Ten years ago I never could have predicted some of the reasons we have to stop talking on the phone.

How we handle the small moments of chaos make a big difference, though. We can let it overwhelm us and crash out, or we can laugh it off and move on.

Truthfully, I’ve responded both ways. I’ll let you guess which one has better results…

Grateful for a wife that has taught me to laugh it off and enjoy the moment. She’s amazing!!

What chaos quotes do you have this week? Leave it in the comments! We’re stronger together 😂

When people talk about a father “providing,” they usually mean financially.

And that definitely matters.

But providing is also the small daily things that quietly add up over time. Things many dads unfortunately overlook—

Making breakfast.
Teaching discipline and creativity in how we stay healthy.
Being present in the ordinary moments.

Those small deposits add up over time.

And one day you realize you weren’t just feeding your boys…
You were building them.

I got the recipe from @spjute_strong.fit (with a few minor tweaks).

RECIPE:
- 1 cup whole milk (Fairlife is ideal for added protein)
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein (see below)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder

Bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes (or until golden brown).

Our kids love Uncle Bob’s Butter Country syrup. Yes it has sugar, ya gotta take the wins where you can sometimes.

@cleansimpleeats protein is by far our family’s favorite! Good clean ingredients and amazing taste.

Check out this transformation 😍

So excited for the memories, skills, strength, creativity, and confidence that are in store for this family!

We don’t just build another playroom for more toys to pile up in. We build play spaces around your family’s needs and wants. Providing a well thought out space for your kids to physically move, use their imagination, and deepen their critical thinking brings countless benefits. It seems obvious but goes overlooked - PLAYING is how kids do these things!

As a father of 4 boys I obsess over ways to keep my kids active and build their resilience. One of the best ways to do this is involving some level of risk, while doing so in a safe manner.

We put a lot of thought and effort into designing and building these rooms with all of those factors in mind. And thankfully this final product did not disappoint!

Life isn’t about balance, it’s about prioritizing. Your “why” should dictate your “how,” even in the gym.

Does my profession require a certain level of fitness? Yes.

Does my job as a dad supersede that? Absolutely.

As dads we have a responsibility to do what we can to stay healthy, strong, and playful for our kids. I recognize that comes in a variety of ways depending on physical abilities.

So let’s be clear - do what YOU can do. That’s all the Lord asks.

If you’re not sure what you’re capable of, ask God. What better Father to learn from?

Now put down your phone and go play with your kids! Real life is beautiful, and it’s waiting for you to pick them up.

Perks of being a dad to 4 Spider-Man fans.

I’m bummed thinking about my first few years as a dad I would have been way too embarrassed to do this in public. How many fun memories did I miss out on?

I’ve since learned to care more about what my kids’ future self will think of me more than what strangers think of me now. Life is way too fun with kids, and far more fun if we bring even a portion of their imagination to life.

Challenge this week- do something with your kids outside your comfort zone. What better way to teach personal growth than to do it ourselves?

Also- this is the best Spider-Man movie made hands down. What did you think of it?

Jesus Himself said we all need to be salty. Okay, he didn’t actually say that, but He did call us the salt of the earth. But what does that mean?

I have a handful of ideas but I’ll stick to two here-

1. Salty people enhance the flavor of life. They pull out all the savory goodness of what people, places, and experiences have to offer. I didn’t talk much about this point, but it’s important to enjoy life. A smile, positive mindset, and attitude of gratitude are infectious.

2. Salty people are okay with a little discomfort for the sake of keeping themselves, and those they love, clean and healthy. Salt doesn’t apologize for stinging as it cleans, it’s just part of the process. But we’ve grown so accustomed as a society to avoiding anything uncomfortable as much as possible. There’s an infinite number of ways to apply this, but I try to focus on what I can actually control. And that starts in my home. Pushing our kids to do hard uncomfortable things (and leading by example) is crucial to their growth in every aspect of life. Life is hard, and requires near constant effort. Teaching our kids to be comfortable with being uncomfortable is an investment that will pay dividends.

I’ll be posting some other ways we can be saltier soon, so follow along!

What thoughts do you have about us being the salt of the earth? Leave it in the comments, you never know who might need to read it!

I love looking for life lessons in seemingly small daily events. A plate shattering on the kitchen floor is usually pretty insignificant, but when it happened a couple days ago it actually reinforced 2 lessons I try to live by. And hopefully, those lessons are passed on to my boys.

Lesson 1️⃣: Slow to anger and quick to help. Be the calm in the storm. Our kids are always looking to us to learn how they should react in a situation. How we choose to respond builds their foundation for good or for bad.

Lesson 2️⃣: It is a father’s responsibility to recognize dangers our children don’t have the experience to see, and then have the wisdom and fortitude to protect them from it. Even when they protest, whine, yell, cry, and beg. Sometimes to be the good guy, we have to be the bad guy. But a Christ like man and father sees the bigger picture. He can take the hits and smile through it. Our children’s safety is worth far more than a convenient moment, an easy yes, an argument avoided.

To clarify - I’m not suggesting we keep our children from all hardship. They need to endure hard things in order to grow. But there is a point when we need to step in to protect them from harm. Knowing the difference between the two is sometimes hard, and we’re not always going to get it right. And that’s okay! But great parents keep trying, learning, and growing.

Good dad trains to look good. Great dad trains to function for his family.

The gym builds the strength — but strength was never the point. It’s just the tool. Every rep, every early morning, every set you don’t feel like doing… it’s not for the mirror. It’s so you’ve got something left to give when they need you to carry, chase, play, protect, and show up for them.

Warriors in a garden, not gardeners in a war.

Who do you train for? Drop 💪 in the comments if you agree.

Side note: not everyone has the same physical capabilities. The call is to simply hold yourself to YOUR best, not someone else’s.

No title prepares you for it and no raise in pay could ever replace it. Fatherhood is the calling we grow into, every single day.

Being a dad doesn’t come with a manual, but it does come with a standard. One set by the Almighty Himself.

We built Dad Standard for the men who show up to lead, build, and protect the way He calls us to.

Raising 4 boys is WILD. My wife and I say things to them I never could have predicted 10 years ago 😂

We wouldn’t have it any other way, though!

One thing I’ve learned as a dad is to just roll with it. Most things are far less consequential than we think. I’m still getting better at it, but turning something into a funny moment rather than getting upset gets a far better result in the long run.

What crazy things did you have to tell your kids recently? The comments last time were hilarious, let’s keep it going with this one!

Nobody talks about the restraint it takes to be a great dad.

To feel the fire and stay calm anyway. To have the capability of violence and choosing differently — not because we have to, but because we want to.

A man who never develops the ability to protect isn’t choosing peace. He’s choosing vulnerability — and gambling that the wrong moment never comes.

True strength is not found in displaying it, but restraining it. “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city” (Proverbs 16:32).

Here’s a Dad Standard - be prepared to protect your family, and anyone else that needs it.

Not because you hate what’s in front of you.

But because you love what’s behind you.

Leave a 💪 if you agree.
