This was a big moment for me! I’ve never been a runner, but this year I told myself I’m going to become one! It started with me just on the treadmill, then my neighborhood, and then Mad Miles Run Club. I could feel myself getting defeated during those runs, but I promised myself I wouldn’t give up. The shin splints, running in the wrong shoes, the body aches, I just knew I was going to quit. Having people in your corner to help push you like @brasslocks & @lifeofaury made it so much easier not to. The friends that supported me & made sure I wasn’t late for mad miles and help me meet my protein goals like @itsmenotyou889 & @iamnaimahf, man, I never knew how big my support system was until now! It’s so many more of my friends I have to thank, I love yall so much. The very first photo is me crossing the finish line in tears, just thanking God because I DID NOT QUIT! It’s so much deeper than running for me. I DID IT FOR ME! I FINALLY DID SOMETHING FOR ME! My NEXT GOAL is to get those times up!
