Anger Dey My Body, 2026.

“Anger Dey My Body, a sentence in Nigerian Pidgin English that literally translates to “there’s anger in my body,” or simply, “I’m angry” — is an experimental body work exploring juxtaposition and duality.

Inspired by a meme, I was curious to see how something of such trivial nature could be elevated into something with weight using fine art photography.

It also subtly embodies the life of an average Nigerian: continually failed by the government yet not deterred from the pursuit of a better life, which often leads to the use of comedy as a tool of survival that masks deep frustration.

Shedding My Ego, 2026.

“The human experience is one of continual growth; physically, but most especially mentally. No one ever truly arrives. An integral factor in this unending metamorphosis is truth.

This piece reflects my experience and incremental shifts in perspective. I have come to understand that ego is often the quietest hindrance. It builds a facade of safety, one layer after the next, separating us from our reality. These layers often stem from fear of confronting the parts of ourselves that feel weak or fragile. And because those walls are all we have ever known, we mistake them for who we are.

Shedding My Ego sits within the idea of the word “rooted” as a return to truth. Truth about self, values, and even one’s work as an artist. It is not certainty, but willingness. The embrace of not knowing what comes next and the decision to operate from the honest ground of your own weakness.
”

- this was the most i’ve confronted failure in my journey as an artist, but it’s also the most curious and knowledgeable i’ve ever been. it’s been somewhat of a long road but i’m here now and I’m very grateful to Jesus. a huge thank you to @theremixproject for the platform, i’ll never take it for granted.
